What makes you think that? Looks to have somewhat of an injury and struggled with Mack Mauger before he got hurt.

My guess is that Dub doesn't do that anymore. He comes here and we put him to sleep with our whining about the sky falling on the wrestling team. That's a cheaper sedative, and makes him numb better than any indica out there.

I guess our recollections of that match are a little different. Deluca didn’t get a takedown in the first period but he was never threatened either. Then he rode out the 2nd and suffered a serious knee injury shortly after escaping in the 3rd.
It’s more about the word coming out of the room prior to the injury. He’s the real deal. I will admit it’s a somewhat of a bold take but that weight class is wide open and he has all the tools.

There are only a few good things to say about Krailure!!! 1 of them is that he is good at assessing talent. Now it is a lot easier when you have a room full of talent and then can watch who is kicking who's ***!!! I would HOPE that TnT have seen enough out of DeLIUCA to make a quality judgment/call on his level?

granted I’m not in the room. And it was some time ago but I don’t recall DeLuca being in on anything but he was riding tough. However, the guys that are ready right out of high school are having pretty significant victories against fringe qualifiers.
If Kaleb Young wanted to be a starter at Iowa that was his choice. He couldn’t beat Marinelli or Kemerer.

My concern with that is it may lend itself to an over reliance on the portal because all freshmen are a bit of an unknown unless they compete in open tournaments while in HS.
Either way, I think they could figure it on getting one to 133. It’s probably moot because V-Rob to Nebraska still seems very likely.
Robinson called Iowa and asked to come visit. We are recruiting Iowa but Iowa isn’t going to close the door on a national champ that wants to visit.
