I don't think the dude is anything special. Good portal add but he isn't a 20/10 guy for sure

You can hate Pope all you want but him and the staff have been all over this portal and it’s most likely going to be a big one for us.
You keep saying this but I keep seeing top 50 guys go off the board and none of them to us.

I think this is correct; reference Adidas. Brohm has been openly feuding with UL's AD regarding his buyout. UL's AD Heird has stated in recent interviews that "changes must be made to remain solvent". Point is I don't believe the reports that UL has nearly unlimited NIL money from boosters to fund basketball NIL. This was all Adidas.
I’m not saying you’re wrong because I don’t know but how would this fly with all the other Adidas schools?

Regardless of where it came from, they had the $

Wait a week from today and see whose roster is better ours or little brothers. This isn’t complicated if you aren’t a sky is falling/ everyone’s out to get me type person. If it’s 2 weeks from now I could understand the panic but it’s blatantly obvious the staff is working to build a competitive roster, maybe try letting them do that for once instead of armchair quarterbacking.
I can see your point. Maybe you know more than the normal fan. But if you look and read all of the things on the internet, it seems as if a lot of the players pope has repeatedly been in contact with, have moved on.

If you don’t see the irony in claiming Pope is asleep when they #1 recruit in the country is flying into Lexington now then I can’t help you. It’s complaining just to do it at this point. Meanwhile little brother lands a guy who had a 13/9 stat line and somehow they are setting the world on fire. I’m all for facts but the constant spewing of BS rhetoric is so juvenile. That’s what this board has become.
He has already been here and has had a massive offer for a year. Unless this visit is to seal the deal, what else has changed? I hope we get him 100% but we need players to help him too. We have had a ton of great players visit under Pope. They all end up on other teams. It’s a legitimate complaint.

Mo is the new factor. He was a Nike athlete in the NBA, he is very close friends with Crawford and Stokes has a much higher trust factor with him than previous staff. Mo is the new draw for Stokes. Also our current offer is 1.8 million more than when he last visited last time.

That’s good, I hope it helps. But I wanna know about this whole roster. You seem convinced we are going to land a great class. I’m just not seeing much movement toward that yet.

That’s my concern. Obviously we have no idea who he prioritizes or what but a lot of top guys he initially had meetings with went elsewhere, just like last year.

I have hope in Pope but if he’s not landed a big fish by Tuesday night I think the season and his career will be over and one rough season coming

God Pope blows. How do you not go after Bidunga, I don’t care what he cost.
I guess he believes Moreno will be back since he will most likely take his name out of the draft. The next few days will be really interesting. If he gets Stokes to commit, I believe we will be in really good shape. If stokes doesn’t commit? Might get really ugly here.

Other than Stokes, who else do you think that we are in good standing with?

5-6 of these guys with 2-3 others not listed will fill out the roster. If we get Stokes probably only 4 total off this list instead of 5-6.

Stokes
Goode
Diallo
Wilkins
Reibe
Freeman
Avdalas
Evans Jr
Wright
Cox
Murauskas
Brown

You are not incorrect, but your assessment won’t get much appreciation or traction here. 👍

Stokes isn't coming to ky playing coaches and fans for a fool. Pope gets a third year playing with a mormon church league team in the SEC.Its going to be a beautiful spiritual journey for ky fans to enjoy as we sing cumbia along the way.

Little brothers collective sits around 14 million and that’s only after they had to take out a loan to cover operational expenses from last year. They are in a deep hole of well over 100 millions between all sports. They aren’t the only ones in that position either, all these schools trying to compete athletically that don’t cash flow are in dire financial shape, it’s 90% of the universities across D1.
You love acting like you're some big baller insider. You just throw 💩 against thd wall. There's no way you know that it's "around 14 million." How exactly would you know this?

You ever going to tell anyone how you know this stuff...not that I actually believe you do.

Don't worry guys. Pope is just waiting to get players that want to be at UK for what UK is. I've heard there's a line out the door for those guys.

I’ve told my story on more than one occasion. I’ve also told anyone who will listen I’m not an “insider” and 98% of insiders aren’t insiders either. I just have a career where I run in circles with high profile athletes and work directly with professional teams and major D1 schools. Therefore I hear a lot of things every day, I worked with Kentucky when Cal was around for 3 years and I still have good friends connected closely. I don’t claim to know everything, but this is a message board and I do like to share things as I hear them if it’s relevant to the discussion. At the end of the day I’m a life long Cats fan and always will be.

Damn..that sucks. Really good pickup for them.
So was Mikel Brown. The minute he went down, they went from decent to mediocre. Stellar players getting a couple more bags than they would anywhere else so they'll be the feature on a ****** team isn't new. Just described John Wall's NBA career, in fact.
