Numbers look good @ Kennesaw State. 1st team All-CUSA per Robbie. Is he a point? He averaged 4 assists this season. Career 63% FT, so he should fit right in.

He seems to perhaps be a poor man’s Jamont Gordon. Has almost the exact same physical measurables (6-4, 225). Appears to be a decent but not great perimeter shooter….shot 42% this past season from 3-point range but was very selective with his attempts. Averaged less than 3 attempts per game from 3-point range. In today’s game, for a guard, that’s an unbelievably microscopic number of attempts per game. To score over 14ppg without that much coming from 3-pointers or FT’s, he must be attacking the basket a lot (again, like Jamont).

Also has no stats for his Soph season, but shows him going directly from Freshmen to Junior, which is weird. Unsure if he was injured, or perhaps was ineligible for his sophomore year. Very peculiar as to why he didn’t take a redshirt year for the sophomore season.

He had a medical redshirt in 2024-2025, so he should be a redshirt junior.

If he can play the point well plus big physical enough to cover big guards - he could be a decent complement to Hubbard in the backcourt.

What is Hubbard’s status? Is he on a multi-year deal? Is his representation shipping him around?

63% free throw shooter. Meets jans criteria. Can already tell he’s gonna be another in the long line of Jans busts. Does the staff even try?

I’ll be surprised if Jans makes it through the season.

14 points a game against Kennesaw State competition. Yeah, impressive. Basketball powerhouse right there. Im sure he will light it up here if he isn't in the portal before the season
Yeah, there are two big problems with the way that Jans recruits the portal

1) We land guys with role player talent levels that are needed to start on day 1 for us
2) Half the guys that he gets aren't even decent role players for us

If we apply the usual Jans portal hit rate, I’d say we have a solid 1 in 4 shot of this guy contributing next season
With Jans being a former JUCO coach who had to rebuild a team every year I expected him to be very good in the portal. He has been exceptionally poor at it. We need to go all in on 3-4 dudes and just fill out the roster with the remaining spots. Trying to spread out the money to a bunch of pretty good (at their former school) guys has been a trainwreck.

What y'all don't understand yet is that we just need to pay our 1099 contractors to be stand ins so that we can continue to get the SEC revenue distribution. Forget winning. Unless we land a billionaire alumni, or college sports agrees to drafts and salary caps, the days of winning are over. We just go through the motions and deposit the TV revenue checks.

Yeah, nothing says "SEC talent" quite like a former 3 star who averaged 11 PPG over 2 seasons in the C-USA.

Reminds me of what Hadad says about 1A high school players. You better put up video game numbers at that level if you have any expectations to produce in the SEC.

We had the same budget in football this offseason as Ole Miss. we just don’t have the people in charge competent enough to field a team. We had enough money to match an offer for the best left tackle in the portal and ended up with literally zero left tackles in the portal. That’s not a money issue. We have dumbasses running the show.

The Washington Generals got half of the gate receipts for every Globetrotters game.
