Glass and decker are both SG’s and are not much of passers. From what I’ve heard we still have a good chance with the Colorado PG Johnson and if Ben McCollum can find away to land him, Ace Glass III and McKeever the 7’3 center from st.mary’s would be ideal for next years team.
That’s funny on3 has Decker a pg that can distribute and make shots at a high volume. I’ve watched his tape he can play pg as well as sg. Glass however IS a sg. Please not that Butler kid that don’t play defense. Need athletes to make Ben’s defense even more scary good.

I would hope they are better at basketball than those three were at getting a double play.

Tinker to Evers to Chance helped the Cubs win 4 NL Championships and 2 World Series from 1906 to 1910.

These are the saddest of possible words:
"Tinker to Evers to Chance."
Trio of bear cubs, and fleeter than birds,
Tinker and Evers and Chance.
Ruthlessly pricking our gonfalon bubble,
Making a Giant hit into a double
Words that are heavy with nothing but trouble:
"Tinker to Evers to Chance."

Well unfortunately you’re wrong, I’ve watched plenty of tape on Brett Decker and he’s a sniper from 3, as you can see he takes 7 attempts a game and 11.6 FG attempts shooting 47 and 49.9% respectively from the field. Career average of 0.8 assists per game through 2 years really screams PG!? Lmao 🤣 yeah sure bud… 247 has him listed as SG and that’s exactly what he is! He can spread the court with his shooting and move n groove his way into the paint when his teams needs it. He is a bucket getter no doubt, would take him or Ace glass but like glass overall potential more.

Yes. Immortalized in a 1910 poem ("Baseball's Sad Lexicon") by Franklin P. Adams, Tinker and Evers and Chance only turned about 30 DPs in their nine years together . . . and many reports say they hated each other besides. So their fame far outshined their actual performance. Of course, that sort of thing never happens these days . . . ;)

The Chicago Cubs turned the most double plays in MLB during the 1910 season. Their renowned infield trio of shortstop Joe Tinker, second baseman Johnny Evers, and first baseman Frank Chance, along with third baseman Harry Steinfeldt, anchored a defense that helped the Cubs win the 1910 National League pennant

the famous infield trio of Tinker, Evers, and Chance was central to the team's defense, and they are noted to have combined for 491 double plays over the five-year period from 1906 to 1910.

Doesn't make it a great double group.

Doesn't mean they were not great in other aspects of the game.

The three played 771 games together. Every few weeks that double play would happen. They averaged turning that double play once every 14 games.

But hey somebody wrote a poem so it must be Gods Gospel.

I was kind of turned away by scharnowsi's raw numbers but if you watch his film you'll be encouraged. Really fluid athlete some incredible slams. He's 6"9 but players bigger because of his explosiveness. Because of his lack of shooting and offense outside paint He's probably a 5 albeit undersized again. Very different than Mckeever who has the size but lacks the mobility/spring of Scharnowski.

I hope they are not thinking of getting another undersized 5. I don't think that works in the B1G.

I severely doubt it there is very good pg’s left on the table. Ben will get one. Combs is a very capable pg in a reserve role.
Who are the SGs? Glass appeared to handle the ball a lot for Wazzu, with the ability to play PG.

I get that. College basketball is getting bigger and bigger with some of the best teams being the biggest (Michigan/Illinois). Same time with what they cost if you give a 7ft+ guy several million just because of their size and they don't have the development yet to play at a high level you're really handcuffed. Kentucky got number 1 center last year in Jayden Quaintance, he played 5 games and not very well. I think that was biggest reason Kentucky had such a poor year by their standards. If that happened at Iowa it probably has worse ramifications. Finding and paying the right Center is just is very high risk/high reward
