By going to Wisconsin, it seems there probably weren't many, if any, quality options for Deal.
What we heard rumored was that she wanted a guaranteed starting spot. She wasn't getting that at a more established program.By going to Wisconsin, it seems there probably weren't many, if any, quality options for Deal.
They'll both be welcome for a beatdown at Carver.Gonna be interesting if they play in Carver next year. Deal not gonna be welcomed back, Teagn will be recieved well, I think, if she plays.
THE VOICE OF REASONi have a serious question Anon. What’s your “Why” for being on this forum?
Deals shot is legit. She also has good floor awareness and is willing to send a pass in. For her on the court its going to come down to 1. can she improve quickness, 2. can she improve defense 3. ball handling and turnovers. What we heard rumored was that she wanted a guaranteed starting spot. She wasn't getting that at a more established program.
I take all that chatter with a grain of salt. Nobody seems to know much anymore. That said, I guess we'll find out if she's a true "bag chaser", cause she'll get a lot of playing time on a bad team, and if her numbers are good we'll see what happens. Probably a good spot for her and Mallegni both. What we heard rumored was that she wanted a guaranteed starting spot. She wasn't getting that at a more established program.
Maybe? I wish her shot was more legit this year. Seemed like she was drawing more air than iron or net towards the end there. I still hope she has a nice career. No hard feelings here.Deals shot is legit. She also has good floor awareness and is willing to send a pass in. Whoops. Not sure how that happened. Watching a lot of different guard highlights. Ugg. Fixed. Is Cambridge leaving OSU? I guess I missed that.....
There are a few posters in here just completely talking out of their ***. This whole thread has turned into a disaster.Carnegie and Whiting are both from P4 programs. One is all SEC. Mid-major?
I’m thinking more about style. She might excel more in an uptempo style. Though Ohio St or Minnesota might make more sense in the B10If she wanted to go somewhere where she can be assured of getting more minutes then it makes sense. She wasn't going to get that at one of the more established programs.
That’s a rumor. And one meant to disparage her. What we heard rumored was that she wanted a guaranteed starting spot. She wasn't getting that at a more established program.
I wouldn't see it as disparaging. She probably was looking for some assurance that she'd start the season in the starting lineup along with a substantial dollar figure. If she did end up at Wisconsin that's a much more likely outcome than it would be at a higher profile program. That’s a rumor. And one meant to disparage her.
I’m not saying you are disparaging her. I’m saying that’s the thing that gets floated when players leave. I can’t imagine coaches today promising starting spots. Not at any legit program. But maybe I’m naive.I wouldn't see it as disparaging. She probably was looking for some assurance that she'd start the season in the starting lineup along with a substantial dollar figure. Jan tweeted her own gif as well… clappingBetween Skim and Coach Barrett’s emoji seems Iowa got a commitment today.
I think it depends on the coach, the player, and the situation. I'm sure at a minimum there was a discussion with Jan where she was asked what they were looking to do personnel wise and how Addie fit into those plans. I'm going to assume that the plan was to recruit a few guards in the portal and that Addie's money would likely be curtailed. The decision was then made to part ways.I’m not saying you are disparaging her. I’m saying that’s the thing that gets floated when players leave. Texas was just in the final four 2 weeks ago and had several players hit the portal. Everyone has to deal with it.How are those mid-major transfers coming along? It’s wild. Two Final Fours, the greatest player in women’s basketball walks through your doors, and now we’re out here shopping the clearance aisle because nobody else wants in? That’s not reloading, that’s scrambling. How far have we actually fallen?
IMO this is the one they need. Everything that comes after is gravy.I'm hoping its Carnegie. That is an excellent shooting guard for the team, puts less stress on the other commits. From the sounds of it, Iowa was willing to sign 2 big commits. Hopefully this is one, see if they can get another.
Legit when on, very inconsistent.Deals shot is legit. She also has good floor awareness and is willing to send a pass in. For her on the court its going to come down to 1. can she improve quickness, 2. can she improve defense 3. ball handling and turnovers.
Its a nice release, good arc -Legit when on, very inconsistent.
Carnegie is the main domino that could get others to follow...unless the gravy is the few on here who will be so pissed that their narrative just went down the crapperIMO this is the one they need. Everything that comes after is gravy.

you will have the 4-5 saying how bad of a coach Jan is, How she can't get anyone, keep anyone or get into the sweet 16 blah blah blah - anything to complain LOLCarnegie is the main domino that could get others to follow...unless the gravy is the few on here who will be so pissed that their narrative just went down the crapper![]()
