Bring him on down. I’d take him right now to solidify the center position and give us 15-20 good minutes a game. Would be a great way for MM to get better in practice as well. Coached very well and has a lot of potential but also has the size to make a difference in the SEC.

Speaking of the center position. Anyone else find it odd that we haven’t as much as contacted a single center so far? Also find it odd that JQ hasn’t mentioned anything about his intentions to enter the draft, transfer, etc. I’d be kinda indifferent even if he were to want to return.

Was looked at similarly as Moreno as prospects. Just didn’t really seem to work out at least for last year

I think I’ve got four or five guys In mind, Is that too many? Should we stand pat at five? Anyone I’ve said I would like to have that wouldn’t be a great pickup? This guy, Wright, Stokes, Byrd and Pate before they chose Providence, Thomas from LSU, and I said I wouldn’t mind having Perry back as long as he’s not being overpaid! Ohh, the kid from St Mary’s and/or the guy from Syracuse! That’s six players who I’d like to have on our team next season without Byrd and Pate. Is six too many? Please, let me know how to be a better, smarter fan sir, sorry I’m doing it wrong. Anything else? I will try to do better and not want great players here anymore from now on. Thanks so much and have a great evening my good sir. Can’t believe I was wanting to have a good team next season. Thanks again for setting me straight.

That's a master class in passive-aggressiveness.

Need to bring someone on down, or Popester might be hosting tryouts at the Craft center. This time instead of for a walk-on spot it'll be to determine a starting 5.

Yeah probably too much but I was having so much fun writing it I couldn’t stop. lol. Let’s go put a half a day in guys and act sick and come home to get back on rivals. Ha. You have a good one bud.

If indifferent means being excited and over the moon, I’m with you. I think It’d be awesome to get something for all that money we gave him. I know I’d be pissed to see him go somewhere else.

Why didn’t Hurley develop this guy better? He was a top center prospect.
Why is he leaving might UConn?

I am surprised he is leaving. He went there knowing they had Tarris Reed, but now Reed is graduating so UConn has a big hole at the 5 position.

I didn’t word that great, let me explain. If he were to come back, I’d be ecstatic IF he actually was all in and ready to play at 100% capacity from the jump. If he still wants to ***** foot around, then NO! Would rather him bounce in that scenario. That’s what I meant.

I mean, I get it. I kinda think the same. However, I still don’t have all the facts. I won’t make a final judgement until I do. I wouldn’t mind having a healthy JQ for a full season here. He’d likely be a top 3-5 center in the country IMO.
Disagree
No offense, poor ft shooter, maybe block a shot, not dynamic rebounder

Who isn't UK on? Good god.

Reibe could be attracted to UK - he wants to face the basket as a stretch 5, something Hurley wants to part of. Not sure why Hurley even recruited him, as he had a poor senior year and then didn't really look like a fit for his system.

Yeah I understand for sure and feel the same exact way. 100% and Eager, wanting to be the the player of the year in College Basketball and show everyone he’s worthy of that top four of five pick he showed as a freshman. He has some to prove before he makes an NBA Roster in my opinion as a first rounder. He just seems like a great young man but I absolutely agree with you. With the money there kids are getting maybe he really does come back. If not he’s taking a pay cut. lol. How crazy is that? 😆

I’m good with a Moreno/Reibe/Potter 5 slot this year, especially if we can get one of Freeman/Murauskas/Goode who could play small ball 5 for stretches too.
Yes. That would be good enough to stay with and compete at their positions and that’s all we can ask for really. Reibe had a year practicing in UCONNs system and is probably going to make a jump this season. We would definitely have enough size to make a run.

Apparently Potter & Reibe can play the stretch 4 .With Hawthorne at 6-11 we’d have a 7 foot average across the 3 to 5 positions with 6-8 Kam playing the 2 with Stokes. Time to get some point guards.
