Can only assume he thought he was worth more than we did. Doesn't seem like a good sign, feels like we are finding the market higher than expected and can't give some carryovers what we thought we could.

He most likely is just looking to transfer down for playing time. No one is going to pay him a lot.

What he'll end up getting paid and what he thinks he's worth are different things. Lots of kids out there are finding they aren't worth what they think despite the paydays others are getting.

It seems all of our forwards are gone. Nwuli should have had possibly a lot of opportunity for minutes. I think one leaves and leads to more as they all seem to think things will be easier for them. Many just think of a money grab. Probably some will be sorry for their choice.

He most likely left for playing time. Not for money.
With all due respect..how do you know why he left?
Maybe he didn't like the coaching?
Or he was told get out.
Or wants back west.. (he's from the west right?)

Personally I wish him well because he busted his *** (imho) and think he could have had a role because Pike isn't building any stud team. Money or not.

All of these are addition by subtraction providing we get some proven, bigger, faster forwards who can shoot and crash the boards.
In theory you are correct. Totally agree that everyone who has left so far is not a big deal and addition by subtraction applies. But back in reality, will we get the proven, bigger, faster forwards who can shoot and crash the boards? I am having my doubts, based upon Richie’s pod update today and now Duarte being the first addition (first add was not a starting center, not even a backup center, not a starting power forward, not even a backup power forward). Not an inspiring start, we’ll see what happens, might be judging a book by its cover right now, but based upon this start and recent portal track record of the program, doubt is creeping in.

He could have been a good one, maybe he wouldn't have developed like hoped.
All I can hope is whoever comes in (Portal/HS talent) helps make RU a winner and I;ll let the fans of the program
Nwuli goes to hope he becomes the type of player that helps their program.

So far it looks like RU is losing players that might have helped in the 2026-7 season, but didn't really do much in 2025-6 to worry over their loss ,
Chris looks like a player that could have turned into a good one, but that's just speculation
