I dont understand why you guys dont just ignore these Iowa morons. It is so simple. Click their profile image and hit the ignore button. Just like that. Done.

They have zero class and have zero to offer on this board.

Sooner we all ignore, the sooner they have to go back to their pathetic lives.
As a collective we really do need to to that.

With the money we’re told was routed to the basketball team after this season, why are we not targeting higher profile kids. I’m the first to admit I don’t follow basketball very closely, but it seems we could be going after players that have already been successful at the higher levels instead of the ones we’re looking at that have been successful in the lower tier levels

Who knows. I don't think Fred wants to spoil this momentum with a locker room problem. So he's probably picky in that regard. Some of it might be that you just make contact with multiple players so you have a plan b or c.

I thought the Belmont kid looked pretty intriguing from reading up on him. 2 years left. 6'9" who shoots 40% from 3.

The difference between Fred and Rhule is I actually trust his decision making in this situation. We also have 2 really high-caliber players to build around, so we don't have to take risks.

We still don't have anywhere close to the budget that the blue blood schools do. The higher profile transfers are going to want $3-4 million each. Also consider we probably had to give Sandfort and Frager a lot more money to stay.

My number for Pryce and Frager is $5 mil between the two. That's why the rest of the roster has to be budgeted carefully.

Assuming money is the issue that has been resolved. IF there was in influx of funds they would likely go to existing players who get a raise first. Then, Fred seems to be the kind who looks for pieces that fit what he wants to do. Look at Michigan, May wants size and lots of it. They can dominate you physically and wear you down and you have to get around them or shoot over them. He looks for a certain kind of athlete and it isn't a 3 point 6 foot bomber from way downtown. It took money to retain Frager and Sandfort. People have to understand the money is not just for portal entries. It’s also for keeping players from entering the portal.

The top guys would individually eat up more than 50% of our enhanced budget. While we have significantly increased the budget, it's not like we are in the same league as the top programs. Luckily in basketball it really is about getting guys that fit your system more so than any other sport.

The money some of these programs spend is pretty crazy and more than many football rosters.

If you're a white guy that can shoot the three, we have a roster spot for you!
We take anyone who can shoot the 3.
