you might well be right. I think that between the US's and Israel's intelligence capabilities we'll have a pretty good idea of what Iran is doing during the next two weeks...and if they're heading off the correct path, we'll hear something from trump.
I'd like to see face to face negotiations between the US and Iran. It's difficult to get a feel for the other guy when dealing through a third party - who may or may not have the same agenda as either of the negotiating parties.
I don't expect it to hold. I don't trust Iran for anything. If Iran keeps up their nonsense, Trump will turn off their power grid. If Iran does much more to Saudi Arabia, they probably get more involved as well. They want the regime gone.
I am very much in giving Iran a break in the bombing

I just don’t get the FEEL GOOD that they will open the Straits of Hormuz
One point I will say is that with the massive destruction of command and control there are probably the majority of the military shooting blind and on rumors
These two weeks will answer the question any reasonable person has and is Iran a reasonable pragmatic nation or do they prefer National Suicide by a minority to massive success by the majority of Iranians based on a rather die than live in peace radical fanatic religion

We need to chill out on this regime change thing. It’s not an advantageous policy. It wouldn’t hurt my feelings to never see another Israeli PM in Washington.
My guess is when it's all said and done we end up with some repackaged version of the 2015 Obama plan but now with "tolls" on the SOH. Things won't really improve unless we make sure Israel knows who calls the shots and show we can control them. I'm sure Iran would rather go down swinging than become the next Lebanon.
So in the end Trump will have set Iranian policy back over a decade and caus d everything to be more expensive. Great job everyone. I wish he would have successfully extorted a peace prize.

Personally, I don't believe a damn thing Iran says. Unfortunately, based on our performance lately, I don't believe everything our President says either.
personally, I believe that at some point we go in and take the enriched uranium.....I'd be surprised if the planning for the operation isn't already ongoing. And once Iran renegs on the agreement the operation happens quickly. (at least that's what I would do) Once that happens, and strait is open , we're finished.
most people who have seen this movie before, don't take trump's words at face value.

everyone knew, or should have known that keeping strait open would not be easy and was a longer term issue. It seems like most of the anti ship missiles/drones are shorter range. The only way you stop them from shooting is to remove their ability to shoot. So You have to ID where the launch sites are and bomb the bejesus out of them continuously. But air power only goes so far. You only control the ground you stand on, and I don't think we have the stomach to put troops on the ground to locate all the launch sites.
It's almost like everyone knew that starting another endless war in the Middle East was a terrible idea and has terrible consequences and we should just stay out of it.

I don’t how you can draw any other conclusions. Maybe Pakistan just told each side what they wanted to hear. But it doesn’t look like either side is close. Things are worse than before the war. We need to pack it up and go home. It is crazy but using nukes is definitely becoming a possibility.

let me offer a different perspective....trump has laid out his demands...Iran has a plan with 10 demands..there's very little overlap..
so, I would guess that what has happened is that both sides, through Pakistan has a different set of "agreements" based on each side's demands that form a basis for negotiation.. It has been reported on CNBC this morning that the list of demands that Iran originally laid out is NOT the list that forms the basis of discussion. However, Iran is still "demanding" the ability to enrich uranium and control of the strait, neither of which so far has been acceptable to the US.
As I posted earlier for those claiming Victory for the US....not so fast my friend...there's a long way to go.

By lunch trump’s pedo protecting mouth piece had a presser saying that the 10 point plan existed and CNN was wrong to report trump agreed to it.
he also continues to claim the strait is open. The day after his pretend cease fire deal less ships went through the strait. His pedo friend Bessent has said numerous times US has escorted ships through the strait that was all lies.

Bunker Buster Nukes would could penetrate the underground nuclear facilities that we have been unable to reach with conventional weapons. And as for regime change it looks like a full mobilization for a ground invasion is the only thing that would work unless you went nuclear.

Ok. I was just wondering what you saw as the path for nuke use. Assuming that we have them, i would disagree that we would consider use. Given our air superiority (dominance) we have other options. I think we would put people on the ground to physically occupy and destroy before we crossed the nuclear rubicon. The other option (given our air superiority) is that we could do detailed surveillance and mapping and use conventional penetrating munitions to attack all the entrances. We would continue periodic monitoring to detect any activity in the area at which time we coud reattack.
Trump never says a true word, and in most instances the truth is the exact opposite of what he says.
I wonder if you went to the UN and laid out a case to use nuclear bunker busters if you get an approval.
