I would say unknown but could be bad. He was key to PA recruiting and we need out of state recruiting more.
First question recruits ask now is how much are you offering and recruiting is basically a bidding process now.
Well what do you think then? Do you think he got booted to make room for AA? I would think that's would be foolish considering his connection, recruiting abilities and pipeline through the lehigh valley.
Imo I dont think he got booted they just didn't renew his contract for them to bring in AA, It may be foolish with his pa connections but the program has done foolish stuff before so doesnt suprise me.

Mytych was very active in the PA youth scene before jumping to RU. His kid(s) are or will be approaching HS. Wonder if he ends up coaching at private school powerhouse like FCA.

I am happy. Anthony adds credibility and talent to a staff currently comprised of a high school gym teacher and youth club coach.
Forced out. Should have kept Steve and jettisoned Pollard.
Super happy and even more so if AA is going to take over for SG sooner than later. AA lives and breathes the sport. Not to mention if JB was always a pipe dream then AA would be about as good a hire for RU as you’ll find
Im suprised AA is coming back thought he may have left on bad terms with SG guessing he was sold on possibly being the next HC and that's why he is returning

Bill, nobody's not happy.We just don't know what the story was with Mytch. My only concerns is keeping mikey labs. Me personally, I think Mikey labs has a better disposition and temperament as the head coach. I don't know what Anthony's coaching abilities are as I haven't followed him since he graduated.But what I saw from mikey labs has head coach written all over it. Just my opinion
I am very happy Ashnault is coming home. Looking forward to guys ankle picking and being hammers on top.
Bill: I have not seen anyone express unhappiness about Ashnault returning, but it isn't a cure-all. It's a start. There still needs to be a big-name head coach and all assistants at the Ash and Labs levels. The head coach should have outstanding credentials, but that alone does not guarantee success. The HC needs to be able to run a program at a high level. It's a job that requires management skills in addition to technical knowledge.
I love Labs too Cravkers and think he will be a great HC one day. AA was never on bad terms with SG. They always spoke.

Mr. G. appreciate your support and generosity for the benefit of Rutgers wrestling. However, it is common knowledge in the wrestling community that when Anthony left SKWC for NYCWC Goodale was butthurt and bad-mouthed Anthony. I am pleased that Goodale ate humble pie and Anthony is back with Rutgers.
Love that Ash is coming back and getting Knox is big, but we're still going to get rolled by the big name programs until we make a splash hire at HC

I did hear something that they were on bad terms a while back. I'm not surprised. It's all smoke and mirrors with Goody. I've spoken to a couple wrestlers that were with him during the late 2010 Era, and they all said that he is a businessman first and a coach second. It was also coming from wrestlers that I never would guess thought of him that way.
Of course we are happy about AA Bill. I wish he never left the program. But this is the Mytych thread. Hence the talk about Mytych.
Could you imagine burroughs as head coach, labs as associate head coach ,sasso and ash as assistants. Wow we would be lethal.
Pipe dream but if Burroughs ever took the head job here all of those guys would be gone. Burroughs has a tight circle and while there would be no shortage of applicants to be on his staff, I wouldn’t expect him to keep any of those guys.
Maybe someone else was holding the spoon as that pie was consumed. In any case, the new AD does not have a wrestling background, but I guarantee that she is a very quick learner. I expect her to watch AA's growth both as a wrestling coach and potential program head over the next few years. I trust she will make the right decisions and know when it's time to make them. Meanwhile, let's enjoy the return home of AA and root on our team. Thanks for listening. $$$$
Quick note on Keli Zinn. She has wrestling experience when she was in the West Virginia athletic department.
She’s known for the LSU experience recently … so you combine big time athletics, with a prior knowledge of Power 4 conference wrestling, she understands how big of a deal it is at Rutgers/at Big Ten institutions.
