Minto will more than likely be at 174 next year. Many wrestling media guys project him to be preseason #1 at 174.
Koehler, no surprise. Wish him the best, was best for both parties.
Losing Eise could suck, but Singer has a good chance at being a freshman starter at 184. There’s also good options in the portal and it looks like Manning plans to be active in the portal.
Rivera at 125 would be a good get

Pay for play got us an AA at heavy. Was it worth it? No ill will toward him, but glad he is gone for the benefit of the room.
Absolutely was worth it. We don’t get 3rd at NCAA’s with Harley Andrew or true freshman Ziola. Wish him the best, but like @skin-tight said, time for Ziola to shine. I think his ceiling is one of the best 285s in Nebraska history.

I appreciated the effort and points AJF gave the Huskers this year. The demeanor is not my style and rubs me the wrong way. But that is just me.
Tyson Terry would have to commit full time to being a wrestler if he wanted to have a chance at NCAAs. There is no such thing as a part time wrestler who can have more than just average success.

FloWrestling shows about a dozen guys at 184 that are in the transfer portal. Only Edmund Ruth (7th year, Illinois) has had any prior NCAA success. And that was in 2023. Options might be kind of slim at this weight class. There are several prior NCAA qualifiers in 141 / 149 but didn't see any that had achieved AA previously.
I've seen chatter about Meyer Shapiro being willing to drop to 149 for the right school and Nebraska was interested. Idk if they will go that route, but that's probably the only transfer I'd consider. I'm really big on Zinkin.
184, I like Ed Ruth the best even if its only for 1 year, but agree the pickings are very slim at 184. Very. Maybe someone new will enter the portal but if not, we're running either sophomore Marco Christiansen or a true freshman. I have to imagine they're keeping an eye on the portal.
ya, i had wished for Berge. 184 is very slim pickings. I don't know about Shapiro. Great talent but... a little weird things ive seen from him. one question is whom is going to redshirt or sit bench and how is he in the locker room/culture? he doesnt seem like a great fit looking from the outside-in.
