This guy is a legit player that everyone should checkout his highlights. He’s Plays like Dave Cowens, under the basket, and shoots the three. Great hands and has those great Euro fundamentals. He is relentless on the boards. Check him out.

Nope they looking for MoneyIs he not following his coach to ASU? If not I apologize for referring to him as a godless commie and would welcome him with open arms.

Carr is playing for the Portland G League team & speaks highly of his time as a Wildcat. He could really help with spacing offensively and would be the best 4 Pope has had I’d say. Not as tall and long as Carr
A hall of famer not sure how it translates considering he only shot 8% from 3 but different eras I guesswho is dave cowens?
Jelly who bombed threes ,couldn't box out and had post moves but didn't use them much.Carr is playing for the Portland G League team & speaks highly of his time as a Wildcat.
I’d hoped Jelly would fill his spot but Pope & his sub patterns were not consistent.
jelavic rebounded pretty well. averaged 4 a game in just 15min. carr averaged 4.7 in 24mpg. i also thought he was our best back to the basket player. his 3 point shot looked good but could never lock it in. his 1 on 1 defense wasnt terrible, but he would get lost in space/rotation bad.Jelly who bombed threes ,couldn't box out and had post moves but didn't use them much.
Your on a ky board and donț know Dave Cowens from New Port and was center for FSU and the Boston Celtics.who is dave cowens?
i'm not 95 years old.Your on a ky board and donț know Dave Cowens from New Port and was center for FSU and the Boston Celtics.
I think Jelavic certainly has the potential to be more productive next year. Any judgement of Carr's season is not very fair considering he was obviously limited due to injury.jelavic rebounded pretty well. averaged 4 a game in just 15min. carr averaged 4.7 in 24mpg. i also thought he was our best back to the basket player. his 3 point shot looked good but could never lock it in. his 1 on 1 defense wasnt terrible, but he would get lost in space/rotation bad.
the hope would be after a year playing college ball be feels more comfortable in year 2 and gets that 3 point percentage up to where carr was which was just 32%. 5% increase for Jelavic should be doable....its not like his shot is broken. be a good backup.
It really shouldn't matter. He was 1973 NBA MVP and a native Kentuckian. I am well of aware George Mikan for example who played well before my time.i'm not 95 years old.
I am 76 and I know who Dave Cowens was! Who he was, was a great player for Florida State and the Boston Celtics!i'm not 95 years old.
My oldest brother played with Dave Cowens at FSU. The guy was a stud!I am 76 and I know who Dave Cowens was! Who he was, was a great player for Florida State and the Boston Celtics!
I’m 78 my friend. We grew up with Bill Russell, Dave Cowens, and Cotton Nash.My oldest brother played with Dave Cowens at FSU. The guy was a stud!
Embarrassingwho is dave cowens?
Jelavic shot over 60% inside the arc, Pope continued to play him on the perimeter where he barely shot 30% if that. I hoped he'd be more like Carr also, doesn't matter now, he hit the portal, I would imagine he's leaving because some other coach will promise to use him right & develop him.Carr is playing for the Portland G League team & speaks highly of his time as a Wildcat.

No it isn't. Good grief. Not everyone here is 80 years old. Besides Cowens was great but he's hardly up there with Jordan, Bird, Kareem, Wilt etc as far as household names goEmbarrassing

Well, he's in the NBA HOF. I have a hard time believing any basketball fans never heard of Dave Cowens, especially a Kentucky fanNo it isn't. Good grief. Not everyone here is 80 years old. He hasn't played on 50 years. And not every Uk fan is 80 years old like apparently most of this biatd is. It was just an odd player comparison is all. I've never heard any modern player compared to somebody who last played nearly 50 years ago. Just a weird comparison but yes I've heard of him. And why would it be a given that Uk fans, especially younger ones would've heard of him. He has no connection to Uk as a coach or player.Well, he's in the NBA HOF. Maybe because he went to high school in KENTUCKY and is one of the greatest players in NBA history from KENTUCKY?He hasn't played on 50 years. He's a Hall Of Fame player. He was damn near impossible to stop down low and rebounded like a beast. Pull up some video of him. Fun guy to watch. It really shouldn't matter. He was 1973 NBA MVP and a native Kentuckian. I am well of aware George Mikan for example who played well before my time.
I can't remember the name but one of our RR's posters went to high school with Cowens.
Me too. He's one I would love to see us get.The ND Harelson kid is better. I would take him over stokes too I believe . Either or
Carr was pretty tough, when healthy. He could really help with spacing offensively and would be the best 4 Pope has had I’d say. Not as tall and long as Carr
I remember Cowens well. He was everything you say. He's a Hall Of Fame player. He was damn near impossible to stop down low and rebounded like a beast. Pull up some video of him. Fun guy to watch.
