I got the COVID vaccine in jan '21 and caught covid around March from my dad. he didn't get the vaccine and it was tough on him. i pretty much had a minor cold when i was positive for it. I'll never get the blind hatred for the covid vaccine - it was needed for some people, and others didn't.
Haven't gotten any boosters since I went to Italy in May of 2022 since they wouldn't let you in the country without a booster/vaccine shot within the previous 12 months, but haven't gotten covid since that first bout in May of '22.

Again, the guy asked another poster, not you, what his kids' excuse was for not enlisting (i.e. volunteering), if he had kids. And took that opportunity to mention your older family members who served, which, again, had nothing to do with anything (you had nothing to do with their decision, so it was irrelevant).
