You’re living in a fantasy world, we are posturing for one of the worst seasons in UK history, believe it will be a complete **** show, and you’re trashing a coach and program that has been dominating the past five years, delusional, at best…

I know you're trolling, but Luke Murray was a huge part of Hurley's success and he's gone to Boston College next year.

Recruiting, developing, and unique schemes. Really dynamic stuff.

Hurley is Hurley, of course, but Murray was every bit a part of that success.

Haha, that’s mildly funny! UCONN ain’t going nowhere! They have leadership that wants to win big, they have boosters that want to win big, and they have a coach who has, and will continue to win big!

It’s a VERY simple formula, and if the powers that be at UK don’t adopt that formula, UK will be a script for a future miniseries, documenting the downfall of one of the greatest non professional sports franchises in the history of sports.

Clingan was unstoppable........twice. , So was A.D. that year. So were Brewer/Noah/Horford..........twice. It's all about the players and Pope has an issue there. He's in "show me" land.

Maybe Kentucky should keep an eye on him. It wouldn’t be a bad thing to have a forward thinker and someone who knows a proper winning culture to establish here.

UConn is going to step back for a minute without this special group.

But Hurley is just too good to go away. He has a plan. He recruits to his plan.

He’s gonna get another title or more if he stays in college coaching.

We need to get in the game instead of being spectators and living on history.

😂 What an absurd post. These guys have won more titles than Duke. They have won six titles with three different coaches.

Since 1998,

UConn 6
UNC 3
Duke 3
Florida 3
Villanova 2
Kansas 2

We have the same amount of titles as Baylor and Virginia during this stretch.
These numbers show how damn irrelevant we truly have become in the modern game.

I’m tired of having to rely on 4-5 programs losing all the time to not fall further behind. It’s time for us to be elite and play in these games again. Make our own history

Serious question: Why did you cut it off at 1998 instead of something like1990? I think it would be fair to call that "cherry picking" to make a case.

He’s not a Kentucky fan. He just wanted a lot of actual Kentucky fans to spout off about how great UCONN is.

Did the modern game begin after 1998? That is a serious question. I am still trying to figure out why this list started after we won in 96 and 98.
Man, go **** and fall backwards into it with your dumbass passive aggressive BS, while you’re at it, go mow King Pope’s lawn.

:ROFLMAO: I ask a question and you melt down. Interesting.
No just the constant pandering to not seeing the reality, we are not even in the discussion for a top-25 team, Pope will likely be fired after this season and the program will continue to be a shell of itself, we are not getting a coach like DH, BD, etc., a lot of delusional people on here.

Are you really that dumb? I have a degree in research. Everyone knows you don't cherry pick stats. He could have made the same point by starting at 2000 instead of 1998. Starting at 1998 shows an agenda. This isn't rocket science to most of us. I guess it is to you?

No you’re living in a pretend fantasy world, we’ve won it once in the last 25 years, many other programs, seven IIRC have won multiple during that timeframe, you just want to keep adding years to get that second title added. I’m supposedly dumb and you have a big fancy degree in research, I just left a career where I was making $350K, to retire in my early 50s, hilarious.

:ROFLMAO: Now spend some of that money and time to learn basic research. You will understand what I am talking about. Until then, you need to sit this one out.

Hurley will absolutely be there. It'll be worth watching how much of this team he retains for next year and how much he values rolling over players vs putting together the most talent. He has nothing left of his sophomore class, and I don't see Solo Ball as being a player you build around.

Correct. This is 2026, so why not make it SINCE THE 1996 SEASON - a round number of 30 years instead of a meaningless number of 27 years the selection of which certainly speaks to bias and cherry picking. WHen somebody says something like, "In the last 27 years..." you can be certain they have an agenda.

Looking at the past 30 seasons those stats look like this:
UConn 6
KENTUCKY 3
UNC 3
Duke 3
Florida 3
Villanova 2
Kansas 2

Still good for UConn. Kentucky needing to reassert itself but far from irrelevant (that would be INDIANA.)

Considering how one offseason is now the difference between being nothing to national champions, I don't expect crazy fall off. Florida went from 16-17 NIT in 2023 and a first round tourney exit in the two years prior to winning the national title. Michigan same type of turn.

Jesus. Obviously, I cut it off to show when UConn's run started. Going back to 1990 would be cherry picking as well. The point is made. UConn's entire rise after we won #7 is what I'm showing.
