Family is toxic at least the delusional uncle
I mean many people here have said the same of our coach
He's not wrong about Pope however Jasper sucks
What is delusional about what he is saying?
An uncle who can’t see his nephew isn’t ready for the big time.
I was going to say he must not visit Rafters. lol
Family wants kid to be coached and not hyped…kid went to OTE….
Just exit in peace for goodness sake. Kid stunk, move on.

If Jasper got the ball at half court he'd want to shoot it.... he never learned to share the rock.
His uncle is a clown. Good riddance man this team was such a bad mix of personalities.

If Jasper got the ball at half court it would be ripped away for a dunk or layup lol
Pope did a terrible job with this group. And Jasper stunk to high heaven. A real player can overcome bad coaching to a degree. And his uncle really should leave social media to the kids. And stop babying his nephew. Let him fight his own battles.
Another confirmation to me that Pope needs to prioritize fit.
He should of had to pay back 90% of his NIL money. UK got no benefit for letting him touch the floor this year.
Such a horrible take from his Uncle and bad on Jasper for not nipping it in the a**.
there is a lot of hypocrisy in that statement. if it was your kid, get every dollar.....but then if its your NIL money you shouldnt maximize spending it?
pope has his faults. but he is 100% doing the right thing. the roster was poorly constructed. thats on him and the staff. to run it back would have been insane. i appreciate lowe giving it a few shots to come back. i appreciate JQ trying. it would be nice if we could take the time and develop a guy like jasper. but pope needs to win next year and cant risk that. having chandler/jasper at SG, having mo d/jelavic at PF, having moreno/garrison at C.....i mean we know how that ends.

Pope sucked all season, no doubt. But so did Jasper. Kid avoided coaching his whole life, easy to see. Even if Mark was working it hard, wouldn’t have helped much.
Jasper was making $1.5 million. Pope was desperate to sign a top 20 ranked HS player and approved it so he wouldn't lose a player in his backyard in Lexington to UNC or Alabama.
Yes, Jasper's uncle is pure drama.
But what he said is not wrong. He's right.
Yes Jasper stunk, but again, as I said consistently all year, Jasper has a chance to be a good player offensively if he has a good coach with good discipline. Defensively is to be determined.

Pope's development was not why Jasper was -9 in 1:57 against Iowa State. He simply cannot defend. And instead of waiting his turn, he chose to leave.
It is probably best for everyone. He didn't fit Pope's system (although who knows what that system is exactly).
And his family should stay off social media.

He is 100% right with what he said about Pope. Nobody relates to this guy. He is a weirdo. He definitely has not developed anyone from a skill perspective. We are all worse off because he is coach.
I mean, both can be true. The team was indeed poorly coached and poorly developed.
And also, Jasper played terribly and his uncle is salty about it.

Since you mentioned $$$$$$$$ ? Just how much did JasperJohnson get offered by Alabama &NorthCarolina? AND how much DID KENTUCKY PAY HIM?
If you don’t think these comments regarding CMP aren’t concerning about his future with UK, I don’t know what to tell you.
Hes trying to stay relevant
His nephew sucked....it doesnt matter who he was playing for

JJ stunk. He will continue to be a non factor. His uncle is a troublemaker that don’t know his *ss from a hole in the ground. Good riddance.
I figured Dennis would tell Derrick to be quiet. Jasper was not helping the team.
He summarized Pope as a failed leader, what most of us suspected, the guy is an absolute fstick as a coach.
Jasper played like a freshman. It doesn’t matter where he plays or who his coach is, he’s gotta get stronger. Im not going to pick a side on this. We will find out the truth soon enough.
Jasper was given opportunity. At some point, the inability to even bring the ball up the court is not the coach’s fault.
He probably made seven figures and 90% of UK fans wanted him to stick around and improve and make a mark. He left and most wished him well. This is just petty ****, IMO.

His nephew has the biceps of a middle school girl
Nobody is returning because we spent 20 million on role players. Ain't happening again. But okay, cool
Pope sucked *** this year.
JJ sucked *** this year.
Unc is crazy, and right, and glad he is taking that drama to another team.

I agree that Pope doesn't connect with current era player, but I also didn't see any signs the Jasper wanted any coaching. It always appeared that he didn't care whether we won or lost, as long as he got a few highlights for himself (and he looked beyond horrible trying to do that). His current struggles are likely a direct result of guys like his uncle.
Don't want hype? All this kid ever was was hype. He can't ball.
He always turned it over when they trapped him, I think he even **** his pants a couple times
Heck! I already know what the problem is! Mark stinking pope! I’m not blind or dumb.
