Unpopular opinion I’m sure, but as long as Ramadan falls during the season, you can’t afford to have a player take a month off for strict fasting.
He didn’t? He literally played games during it.

Here is what many ky fans don't understand! Mo is not interested in being a bench piece! He wants starter pay and minutes ,as do most of your guys jumping in the portal!
Love is effort and wish him the best!
Agree - I think he wants a chance to improve offensively - which he was starting to do, honestly, towards the end of last year. I don't think he sees himself as only a hustle guy. Whether he's right or wrong, I think that's what he's looking for, a chance to show it.

I’m talking about his inability to eat food or drink water during daylight and how that coincided with a totally ineffective month of February for him.

Jules Camara would have the same issue back when Ramadan was during December.

I wanted to like him. Had an A, not A plus motor. He was about the same size as Oscar T, but didn't dominate like Oscar.

Not a fan. His body language was atrocious and skill set questionable at best. Especially three point attempts and shooting form. Deuces

He'll be a force with a coach like Hurley or Mark Few. Hell look what Oates got out of him

Toward the end, I really started liking him because of his hustle and toughness. But the fact is we need more talent.
Pope ain’t Fkn around.
So, you think Pope pushed him out. If so, I sure hope Pope already feels good about the players he will be getting. There are just a small group of power forwards that have the stats that we need.

Super sub. 6th man candidate. Not a starter. Wish he would stay.

Same. You win games with guys like gim but he cant be a centerpiece.

Unfortunately im sure we paid him like a centerpiece and understandably he doesn't want to voluntarily take a deel cut to stay.

As I said in the BG thread, Pope absolutely must get this money under control. Last year he overpaid everyone, which makes retention harder now there is apparently less basketball nil money.

I wonder if Pope tried to get him to stay, would say a lot in of itself.

I'm good with it. If he would play within his game he can be a great role player, but I cringe Everytime I see him jack up a 3 or dribble in the lane. Not his skillkset. I would've benched him every time he shot a 3

We understand completely, but we also understand he isn't deserving of a what he wants. Thanks for trying to educate us though, since we can't understand anything. Now go back to your own board.

He would make a nice piece for a contending team, especially one that has multiple scorers. My guess is he'll have some nice opportunities for next season. Best of luck to Mo.

By Evan Miya’s ratings he was the second best player on last year’s squad.

Never truly expected him back(guess he technically could still return), but when the Trilly linking of Donnie Freeman and UK happened it made it pretty obvious to me that Mo was leaving.

His lack of offensive skills were alarming. He clearly doesn't love the sport or he would have learned to shoot by now. I'm glad he's leaving.

MoD would be a solid roll player on any team. He's just not a UK starter if we want UK basketball to be back on top.

We were criticized for spending starter level money on role players. He was one that fits that category. Too bad it didn't work out. Will need to bring in a "lunch pail" kind of player to replace MoD though.

I am not upset he is looking to maximize his value somewhere else. However, I am also not upset we have that spot and money back for "the big wiffer" to try to upgrade the spot.

Good luck Mo!

Always a tough player for me to know how to feel about. His effort is never in doubt and he has games where he makes winning plays with his defense and rebounding. Unfortunately he’s also only (possibly generously) 6’7 and doesn’t have any perimeter skills, which significantly limits his ceiling.

Good player to have if you can convince him to be a 6th or 7th man, or at best the defensive specialist in a starting lineup that’s otherwise completely loaded offensively. I’m not sure he can be a centerpiece on a championship caliber team, which reading between the lines a bit seems to be how he may see himself, thus his second transfer in as many years. I still wish him well wherever he does end up.

Good player and a guy you like to have on the team, but it always seemed unlikely we'd see him back next year considering he was brought here and paid to be a starter, and now they're likely asking him to come off the bench, and get paid accordingly. He was in some ways emblematic of Pope's misguided roster construction this season, but that certainly isn't Dioubate's fault. Always wanted to see him get a shot at the 5 next to Jelavic but I don't believe Pope ever tried that in game.
