UCLA is blowing them out right now, I wonder did the Geno tirade the other day throw them off.

UCLA ended 37-1 that's thirty seven and one 😂
It had nothing to do with Geno, UCLA has a great team. SEC or not, I loved Staley getting her a.ss kicked. But she was a better loser then Geno 😂

UCLA had the tallest women's team in the country, with FOUR senior starters, that had played together at UCLA for all four years. It's their FIRST CBB title.

They would've beaten any women's CBB team in the country today.

And it's an awesome sports story.

Texas was the only team to beat them. I don't watch women's bball all the time, but I do watch the championship. Staley is a tough competitor, and I'm sure will take until her team plays again, to get over this whipping.

Yeah, I'm not a big fan of hers, but she offered absolutely no excuses other than "we got our butts kicked." I can respect that over the whiny rants of some more experienced coaches.

Unlike another unnamed coach on Friday.

Right? The freshman team in HS is the highest level I ever played. And I think I could've competed in my prime
You absolutely would have competed. I've seen footage of WNBA players getting rolled by 8th grade boys.

I was a bench varsity player in HS and accomplished absolutely nothing basketball wise. I went to a mid-D1 school for undergrad and I would go Kobe on the womens team players who came to play pickup with the commoners. It was too easy.

Kind of like Hurley, a great coach, but we don't have to like them 😂

Yeah when we'd play pick up at my college (OVC school) sometimes a girl would play who was the school's all time asst leader at the time. She was very very average and did nothing special against a bunch of hacks

It’s a cool story, but the seniors were all transfers except for 2

UCLA was a Senior-laden, well-coached and focused team. Their dominating performance reminded me of how Texas A&M, with a tremendous number of Seniors, easily defeated Kentucky in the volleyball championship match.

If I coached a women's college team, I would go find 5 dudes who would take a million each to say they're women. We would go undefeated. And all of you would tune in to see it.

South Carolina was the typical Dawn Staley team .. somewhat like a Cal team ... Lots of athletes whether they can shoot or not .. this year's bunch couldn't shoot .. The big girl from UCLA kept them from getting anything inside and that was it .. plus they had no answer for her on the other end as well

No, 6’7” women are usually a little deep-voiced. She looks like a nice woman for her size. She’ll do well in the WNBA.
I've never even heard a 6-7 woman speak. Where do you get so much data on them?

I don't get the knock specifically on women's hoops. Outside some gymnastics events, I can't think of a sport where men, even boys, don't destroy women. So what's the point?

I played intramural with some dudes at UK who were on the practice squad for the women’s team. They practiced against the women’s team weekly. These kids were all ex high school players not good enough to play at any college level. They would regularly beat the **** out of our women’s team.
