Eubeka Okorie Stanford ALL ACC PG entering the Portal

[RedwoodHigh]

22 pts 3 assists 3 rebounds as FRESHMAN - The kids a real baller & real smart too.
Get him before Vandy does.

[philstat]

Obviously a shoot first, PG with those numbers…

[Smeegs]

He clearly ain’t bashful. Jacked up 16.2 attempts per game.

I wonder if his teammates appreciated the freshman shooting that much.

You obviously never saw him play - Stanford played a 3 guard offense & Okorie was impressive while setting a few Stanford & ACC records.

Yeah a big pass, 16 shots per game, hell no wonder he averaged 22ppg.

[UKCowboys]

No idea what yall are talking about. 23.2 a game as a freshman, 34/5/3 in his last game, shoots good percentages at every level....How fast cam we get him here? We had a banged up Lowe, an out of position DA, and Jasper

23.2 ppg 3.6 rpg 3.6 apg

46.5% fg 35.4% 3pt fg 83.2% ft

Sounds like he would be a huge get to me If he plays even decent defense.

Guard plays wins tough games.
He has to be a top priority.

He sounds like a good one. If there are any near perfect ones they'll be in the NBA, not the NCAA.

This kid will be in the top 2 or 3 pg’s in the portal. Can get to the rim AT WILL. Has Tyler Ulis type potential.

Some of these numbnurtz don’t know ball.

23.2 per game 46% - 35% on 3s - 84% FT - 52e% on 35 minutes per game
3rd in ALL ACC voting behind Boozer & Wilson.
If You don’t want a kid like this maybe you should rethink your BBN FANDOM

[UKCowboys]

Watching 5 minutes of the kids highlights tells you he has a great handle and can get his shot off even when pressed. Looks like a baller to me

No joke. If you're not interested in him, who is your PG target, SGA or Luka Doncic?

[Smeegs]

He looks damn good. Obviously a top tier athlete and also appears to have a nice handle and crazy shooting range. I’m surprised I never heard about this guy before now.

But he may need to adjust his “shoot vs. pass” ratio at his next school.

Stanford is a top 10 academic school with more Grad students than undergrads.
Average home attendance 3000 - playing at Rupp would be a great experience compared to playing at Stanford Home game
He still may go pro.?

With better players around him his assists will go up

He’s projected 2nd round I dint think he will go may test the waters like most but will be back

Only Acuff and Wagler were ahead of him as top scoring PG

Ruffin 5'10" played against a schedule ranked 288 of 365. Okorie 6'2" played against a schedule ranked 65 of 365. You also left out 35.4% as a freshman from 3 vs. 30.9% from 3 as a senior (29.9% career).

Oh totally agree, though believe Pope will take Ruffin.

Stanford beat North Carolina- Louisville- St Louis - NCstate - all Tournament teams

[Smeegs]

If he had the level of success I honestly have no clue to why he would leave.

If you have no clue why he’d leave, then you also have no clue how the modern NIL/portal system works.

His success is WHY he’s entering the portal. Who wouldn’t want to be the most desired free agent in a free-for-all bidding war?

[philstat]

If you have no clue why he’d leave, then you still have no clue how the modern NIL/portal system works.

Stanford has massive resources.

[JASUN74]

If he had the level of success I honestly have no clue to why he would leave.

A 500 to 600,000 dollar raise. He sure looks like a nice player.

[Fawrules]

Really hope Kentucky makes a serious push for him.
He was the first dude I thought of when going over potential transfer names before he'd ever even announced his intention to.

[JASUN74]

Stanford has massive resources.

If they’re serious about winning I’d try to find some big money to keep this youngster. Got some big dog in him looks like.

He hasn’t yet but if he does everyone will be going after him

Well, then they better dig into those resources if they want to keep him. Because it sounds like this kid is gonna get some massive competing offers.

I’m not denigrating Stanford. I’m ridiculing an Atlantic Coast Conference that includes a California team.

He is a terrible defender 117 defense rating

EDIT 120.5 defensive rating which is 7th worse as a true point guard ranking

Pretty good company
