I made a commitment to donate a specified amount each month, but I didn't read the fine print closely enough to realize it requires me to commit to 12 months. I recently fell into some financial problems, and I called the university to see if I could cancel my commitment, but they would not help me. They said the billing is being processed out of Australia. So be careful.

I would suggest that nobody ever donate money to a collegiate athletics program. There are so many other worthwhile areas where that money could be spent to help people who actually need it.
