Maybe the best defensive coach at RHS in my 75+ years watching Reidsville football. Someone will have really big shoes to fill. His son Alex is on the Carolina football staff.

Wonder if he will go the Jimmy Teague route and retire in title only but keep running the D?
I don’t think so. But not sure anything is set yet. I’ve heard he will be involved though. The question is who takes over… I think they stay in house

All this mess is where it stops being a sports conversation and becomes a community one. Because once a school starts to erode, it impacts everything..... academics, morale, funding, and long term outcomes for those kids.

Heard the Qb transfer from Mt. Airy is the real deal. Tall and athletic. Per returning offensive starter. ā€œAmod is by far the best Qb on our current roster. He gonna shine in our offense, we’re gonna be able to score on and with anyone, including Grimsleyā€.

Can anyone give me the scoop on this kid. I thought Brax starting was a sure thing at East

brax is probably in the lead. But it’s no guarantee. Also East Forsyth jv qb from last year has to be in the mix.

D M is a good coach and no disrespect but he has been the beneficiary of some good imports. The real genius behind Reidsville defense has always been Jimmy Teague. His attacking style took the Rams to another level. Ted Jones, Doug Robertson and Mars of late have just kept that going. Happy he is able to retire. Good luck coach.

Cant say ive ever heard defense and genius used in the same sentence to describe Teague before.

Well, you have now. Jimmy got a lot of credit for his offense and deservedly so, but people who really know him as a coach will tell you that behind the scenes, he was about defense and the kicking game. He understood, and still does, what winning football was all about. His defenses would swarm you and he'd field position your *** in a heartbeat. I'm just giving credit where it's due. To that point, those who've succeeded him have at least had the good sense to adopt his philosophy. As long as Reidsville keeps athletes and does what they've done the last 20 years+, they will always me in the conversation.

I will say he is probably underrated towards the defensive schemes.
i expect the rams will be a lot better than people think this year.

Someone is getting handed a solid defense to start with. Find some ILBs and even you get an evn better gift

This is true, but we actually have some guys up front. We could use someone to step up at defensive end besides Pruitt.

He'd be good for that too. Not sure why he wasnt getting starting LB reps the last 2 years. Change of command may change some things
