You’ve been right about that for a while and it’s dead on. I always wanted a former player coach, but I can also mentally handle it. If they don’t produce then no wtf lol. I wanted a Pitino guy to help protect the program against this administration the same way Hall / Rupp guys were. But we’re never going to get that because pitino guys were the beginning of a fracture I’ve noticed in the UK family starting in the modern era. Pitino guys are nowhere near as bad about this as calipari guys are, but Pitino actually respects the institution. Calipari doesn’t respect anything but himself and his players are a reflection of that. But still, pitino guys will never be what Hall / Rupp guys were. Unfortunately Duke has been able to hold theirs together much better than we have and it’s a problem we’re in.

Village is trying to be positive. But there's zero to be positive about, in regards to this season. 14 losses, a 2nd round blowout loss, no SEC title of any kind. Blowout losses to many schools. This season will be up there with 1989, 2008, and 2013, among others.
Pope seems scummy to me. Not cursing and being religious does not make you a good person. You can say what you want about Calipari, but I believe he genuinely cared about his players more than pope does his except maybe Colin chandler and we all know why. Pope is more interested in getting Layla a gig on the dance team than winning basketball games.

I agree. Nothing is said about UK’s record against SEC teams that year was 11-10. How that is a success is beyond me. Alabama beating us by 29 in the SEC tournament and a no show against Tennessee in the NCAA tournament.

I know we have had our share of injuries, even to Robinson late last year. If we given up our record would be way worse. Awful.
