OT: Easter/Passover Weekend Jukebox
- Thread starter rudedude
- Start date
I always thought of this as an Easter song. Or at least a Garden of Gethsemane prayer, although I don't believe that Jesus thought the next few days were going to be a bargain.
Night 1 in Saint Auggie which is a GEM of a venue for those that have never been.
New Peter Gabriel: Kind of reminds me of some of the stuff off his first solo (the car) album.
Looks like no big USA tour for King Gizz this year, only Field of Vision and a few Forest Hills dates. Anticipating a biggie next year with King Gizz and Billy Strings doing a hoedown!
You and me both. I cannot wait to see what they came up with down under.Looks like no big USA tour for King Gizz this year, only Field of Vision and a few Forest Hills dates. Anticipating a biggie next year with King Gizz and Billy Strings doing a hoedown!
I learned more from this album than most all of my Sunday School classes.
Thank you rudedude, and a Happy Easter to you and your family as well.
Dave Grohl has said that the “completely bonkers” viral duo Angine de Poitrine “absolutely blew my ******* mind”.
The Foo Fighters frontman is the latest person to fall for the leftfield charm of the anonymous duo, who are formed of ‘Khn de Poitrine’ on microtonal guitars and vocals and ‘Klek de Poitrine’ on percussion and vocals.
Speaking to Logan Sounds Off, Grohl was asked for a new artist that he had recently fallen for, and he was full of praise for Angine, whipping out his smartphone to share a video of the duo.
“It was sent to me yesterday by a friend and it absolutely blew my ******* mind and it’s called Angine de Poitrine,” he explained, while searching through his phone for the video link.
“And I believe they’re from Canada, perhaps Quebec, and I don’t know how to explain it other than you just have to watch these people,” he continued, before describing them as “so completely bonkers, dude.”
As always at Easter, I am thinking of my mother, Helen, as it was her favorite day of the year. Left us 59 years ago, when I was ten, she believed in me, her deaf boy, with all her heart and soul.
Good Friday on Good Friday, Perfect!
