It's one thing to review candidates prior to going into a booth.so, you don't have any idea of who the candidates are before you get the mil in ballot? Aren't there newspapers/internet out there?
It's another thing to have the candidates in front of you, and do research in that very moment.
And honestly for the smaller elections like treasurer for our district, frankly no. I previously would not have looked much into who they are. With the names in front of me, I can have my laptop open and look them up, then select who I would pick.
I do not think I'm alone in not knowing some of these smaller lower profile elections, and why when I was a kid and asked my dad about it, he would tell me "just don't worry and vote republican". I bet that's what a lot of people end up doing...
