Always remember, ignore the retard who hates Lester and worships Brian, and cheer on the Hawkeyes! Really sad that he has to say mean comments about Kirk's hiring ability. We all trust Kirk with this hire, seems like eyes of retard does not.

What exactly is your problem?

I don't hate Lester. Nor do I worship Brian.

Many times I have stated that Iowa is better off with Lester.

Read better and stop mischaracterizing people. Have some respect

You Guys are seeing the trees but not the Forest behind, Lester has His QB Coach from Western Michigan now in Iowa City , In the Military it is called staging assets , Kirk has maybe a couple years left , When He goes Lester is the most obvious Guy who already had HC experience and time in the Program to take over and then Vandermerkt takes over the Offense . Wallace becomes DC and the Culture and structure Kirk has built stays intact and Iowa football does not miss a beat .

Respect is earned, not given. You should ask for decency instead. The response was not a decent response to yours. Is this new coach related to someone? Trying to figure out the nepotism angle.

I don’t follow. Is he related to someone?
Perhaps a smudge of the the definition of "nepotism", on my behalf, to be honest.

Hiring where there has been a previous relationship is considered nepotism. It's not limited to family. So, nepotism can be found on basically every football staff in America.

Technically though, the definition might refer to previous relationships not related to job qualifications.

If so, I admit I have smudged a little to make a point about fans' oversensitivity to nepotism in football

Norvell is now in the fold as a former HC. Lester ain't no given.

Just a smudge. A large amount of companies have written policies about nepotism based on family.
Not sure I have seen many policies based on previous work relationships.
Would be very rare to find any company without some form of your definition of ‘nepotism’

Thus the smudge.

Quick AI definition includes "relatives and friends"

Norvell is 63 yrs old and Lester 49. Minus Michigan fiasco with Whittinngham don’t see too often coaches that old hired that aren’t uber successful before at P4 under normal circumstances.

It don't matter in a year to year free agency world. People were saying Phil Parker, well guess what age he is. Jay is one of the most fit 63 year olds you will ever see.
