From what I see on tv (obviously don’t have analytics), Campbell’s arms have mostly had better stuff than ND did after the stud ace.
The amount of swing and miss is baffling. Like…it’s not normal…it’s absurdly high. And I realize it’s not every night. But tonight…I’d love to see the metrics on how many swinging strikes (not foul balls) we’ve had at the plate tonight.
Even when he has been good at the plate, nothing he does in the box is mechanically sound. It’s going to lead to some less than good ABs.
Tbf it would be considering they would have beaten us, State, ECU, and Duke
But I agree make him eat those words
He got lit up twice then had scoreless appearances against both Coastal and State.

Jackson Rose is SO FIRED up after the 10th, an impressive performance from the freshman in the big spot
Rose’s fastball looks like it’s playing a lot faster than 90 mph. Hiding it really well. Their swings against his 90 are not close to as good as against Flannery and Padgett’s 97.
I’d probably pull him if we don’t score. I’d want him available Friday or Saturday and I want him to leave feeling great about this performance.
Hopefully we don’t have to make that decision.

That 3-2 pitch was a ball but probably would have been called a strike against Nicholson 3 weeks ago. When it’s going well, it’s going well.
And also with an angle. He almost has the head below his hands.
If you have French’s role on this team, you have to be able to get a bunt down.
