Reading today several posts including their radio announcer complaining that a Technical foul wasn't called because of U. Conn celebrating the last second shot. Really! They are so used to the ref bias calls on their behalf that they actually believe a tech should have been called against U. Conn in that situation. Nothing feels better than seeing these a-holes lose.
Spoiled Duke fans shocked they finally didn't get a call their way.

I just had a Duke friend try and say "I wouldn;'t have wanted to win because of a last second technical, but...".. so I said "Fine, you can get that technical and win the game, but Laettner gets tossed in 1992 for his technical".. and he shut up real quick...
I bet you could find some of the same Duke fans defending the no-tech call on Texas against NC State, which was far more egregious. Also if you watch the baseline ref it looks to me like he has his hand up for Duke's timeout before anybody from UConn is on the court.
Come on guys, the game was obviously rigged. How else can you explain Boozer not getting an 'And 1' on this play

Honestly though the DA coach probably should’ve been Td up and thrown out for making contact with the ref. Hes lucky that ref didn’t want to become the story.

The refs still tried a last second screw job. The shot went through the9 net (the point at which the clock stops) at .3 seconds.
By rule, there can only be a tip with .3 or less time on the clock. Somehow, they reviewed the clock and added .1. That gave Duke the option of a catch and shoot. Small adjustment, but majorly important!

I made a similar comment on this board today. There was no justification for putting extra time on the clock. There wasn’t even a review that I recalled. It wasn’t much but it did give Duke slight hope they would not have had otherwise.
