So they are playing volleyball against a school next door, multiple states away in an old, run down outdoor baseball stadium? Must be lots of $ attached
I think Chicago needs the money to try to keep the Bears in town.So they are playing volleyball against a school next door, multiple states away in an old, run down outdoor baseball stadium? Must be lots of $ attached

It’s part of the BIG/ SEC matchup: ND can’t be involved not sure how good their VB program is anyway. If you are going to do something like this you need Good matchups I would have personally taken Wisky over PSU for the BIG besides Nebraska but maybe Uncle Fester said no.Yeah it would make more sense if Notre Dame, Northwestern, or Illinois were playing. Who in Chicago is going to care about Penn State and Kentucky volleyball?
Does anyone in Chicago care about Northwestern, Illinois or Notre Dame volleyball?Yeah it would make more sense if Notre Dame, Northwestern, or Illinois were playing. Who in Chicago is going to care about Penn State and Kentucky volleyball?
I'm guessing there will be plenty of Red there.

Probably want fan bases who travel well. What's the point of getting all 12 Northwestern VB fans, or even 1,500 or so from Illinois, to come into the city for a day?Yeah it would make more sense if Notre Dame, Northwestern, or Illinois were playing. I figured they would include Whisky because of the fan base travelProbably want fan bases who travel well. What's the point of getting all 12 Northwestern VB fans, or even 1,500 or so from Illinois, to come into the city for a day?
I am curious about playing VB at Wrigley Field, though. I hear tell the wind blows there, on occasion.

Maybe not, but Penn State and Kentucky seem to have pretty loyal followings. No idea about Missouri.Does any Volleyball fan base really travel well other than Nebraska? Especially for a regular season game?
That’s why I am surprised they didn’t get Whisky for the 2nd Big team.Does any Volleyball fan base really travel well other than Nebraska? Especially for a regular season game?
Me too. But maybe UW already had a match booked that weekend that they couldn't get out of, and had to play in one of the B1G/SEC matchups earlier in the week.I figured they would include Whisky because of the fan base travel
Once again, Dannon asks NU fans to travel and pay up. Fill Wrigley Field. I don't see many from any of the other schools traveling to attend. Why would they? Locals? Nope. So apparently, it's up to NU to fill the stadium? Or do they not care how many fans are there? So they are playing volleyball against a school next door, multiple states away in an old, run down outdoor baseball stadium? Must be lots of $ attached
Wisconsin is close and would have brought fans. Who in the hell is going to travel from Happy Valley to Chicago to watch a volleyball game when you can stay home to watch it on TV and have another three months of games to watch after that? It’s part of the BIG/ SEC matchup: ND can’t be involved not sure how good their VB program is anyway. Exactly…this is a weekend outing in Chicago for Nebraska fans.Does any Volleyball fan base really travel well other than Nebraska? Especially for a regular season game?
There will be a lot of red there. Just won’t be me.Once again, Dannon asks NU fans to travel and pay up. Fill Wrigley Field. I don't see many from any of the other schools traveling to attend. In my view, NU volleyball fan is our most loyal fan base but how big is it and are they willing to travel? Plus, they've been hit by larger fees & many gave up their seats or moved up to the new proletariat section. I just don't see many choosing to travel Am I wrong here?
It'll be interesting how much. But after posting that this morning, I realized that they don't really give a **** about attendance. It's only TV dollars. Get some loyal saps, err I mean fans to travel to Wrigley Field then it's all the better. There will be a lot of red there. Just won’t be me.
Yep good luck on the TV ratings.Isn't that week 1 of NFL
