Watching LSU go down last night was absolutely delightful ... so many reasons (Mulkely and her theatrical manner, Fulwiley leaving, Flaujae's mama, their brawling style of play, the rivalry, etc.) ... interesting fact: my oldest daughter is now 34.5 years and she played AAU ball for many years. In the summer between her 8th and 9th grade she played in her first AAU National Championship tournament in Lafayette, LA and the keynote speaker was Baylor coach Kim Mulkey and she was impressive. She had a wonderful message to the teams, she was level headed, and she did not dress like it was Mardi Gras .. she was downright what you wanted a college coach to be and I remember thinking I would not mind my daughter playing for her on the college level ... either Mulkey dramatically changed or I did not follow her closely at Baylor ... when I watch her on the sideline now, she is more hysterical fan than she is composed coach and leader .... very thankful my daughter ended up NOT playing for Mulkey and she had a very successful AAU, HS, and college career .. in any event, I thoroughly enjoyed last nights game. Very thankful we have Dawn because we do not have the NIL resources many programs have but we still get HS stars because of Dawn ... our ladies program is the one program that is consistent and a national power ... Go Lady Gamecocks!!!

I didn't realize she had been at Baylor for 20 years before coming to LSU. How long ago was the speech of hers that impressed you?
