That not giving a **** attitude is partly why fans became so animated and hateful during the season. The kids just wouldn't show up half the time. We can deal with losses. We can't deal with not giving 100% effort.

Fighters? I guess it depended on the night. Ultimately, Pope is responsible for getting the team in the mindset to play at this level. It didn't happen too many times to be ignored.

Refusing to set picks is not fighting.
Refusing to defend with your arms in the opponent's face is not fighting.

Yeah this group will be remembered for kinda getting it together, like 2 decent players and a bunch of BS overall. They didn’t give it in a lot of games but they weren’t fighters. They dug more holes in a first half than any team in my lifetime. Probably more than teams in decades if I’m honest.
