And there were people who actually said that they should come back to RU for another year to get ready for the NBA. 🙄
Yes, of course, Dylan would have benefited from playing pick and roll while tossing lobs to the sure handed Ogbole as opposed to Wemby and of course Ace would benefit from the exuberance of playing with his boy JMike another year. These two will struggle for sure without Steve and the program developing and enhancing their abilities. I may or may not be utilizing sarcasm here.

Ace and Dylan were probably shocked by playing with people who actually knew how do do things like set screens, catch passes, and shoot the ball.

Pretty good year for all of the Rutgers guys. Really want to see what ace looks like next year. A better handle and more weight on him will do a lot for his game. Dylan has been playing excellent basketball all around, he may win a championship in his first year. Harper Jr got signed and might win a championship as well. Good year..

Don't forget Cam Spencer who is the best foul shooter in the NBA along with being one of the best 3 point shooters.

This is by far my favorite thread ever.
Flagg, Dylan and Ace needed to come back to college so they wouldn't waste away unnoticed in the G-League since they wouldn't get playing time in the NBA.

For refence:
Flagg - 69g, 69gs, 33.8mpg
Dylan - 68g, 4gs, 22.6mpg
Ace - 71g, 60gs, 27.6mpg

Just think how much exposure and development they could have gotten if they returned to college......🤣

Dylan is already a major contributor on a potential NBA championship team. Ace is already at least twice the player he was at RU. There was nothing that this coaching staff would have done to further develop them. There was no way they were not going to play major minutes in the NBA, given where they were drafted.

He just signed a two year contract if I remember correctly

Unfortunately, it's not as straight forward as that.

It's a 2 year contract for 2025-2026 (the current season) and 2026-2027 (team option for $2.6m).

Approx $123k was guaranteed (prorated minimum salary for the couple of games from April 4th to end of season yesterday).

Boston will need to decide on the $2.6m option in the offseason.

he is so much quicker than he ever was at RU. He lost the weight he never was able to shed at RU. His handle is also much better
There was a play last night where Ron skyed for a defensive rebound and literally within a split second he was already dribbling up court past the free throw line — it’s like he teleported 15 feet from under the rim to the FT line. He then took it coast to coast and scored on a contested layup.
