We need cheap players 9-12.

If he develops into something, it’s like finding a $100 bill blowing in the breeze.

I think something that is going overlooked is the fact that the Belmont coach is heading to Kansas State. That's probably the reason he wanted a release.

Sign him - Kentucky legacy player - 6’8” - great stats -
Look up past Mr Kentucky’s who played for Ky & the odds are good he’ll contribute.
Reed Sheppard was a questionable signing ?
Take the chance - match Belmont NIL Offer .
Sarcasm?

But again, how cheap?

You must get the studs first. That determines the rest of the budget.

If Pope screws up again and misses the stud targets, you better at least spend big on depth.

Trent is a good basketball player- Stop degrading young players because you’re jealous.
Don't be an idiot Dude. What are you, Trents Dad or Uncle? Where did I say Noah sucks? I said I don't know if Feldhaus is better than Noah or not. Its a valid question because Noah was our 11th man and didnt play the last month, so if he isn't better than Noah, he can't help us next season.
If we were looking at a starting PG or SG, I would ask the question are they better than Lowe or Chandler. Saying that doesn't mean I think they suck, because I don't, but if they aren't better, we may as well keep what we have.
As to the dumb*** "youre jealous of Noah" crap, no, I most certainly am not lol. I played college ball, Not better than Noah, but did all the same. I also have a great career and a beautiful family, so my friend, no, I am most certainly not jealous of a 20 year old lol

Noooooooo don't do it
Can’t wait to have him, Noah, and Jasper on the floor at the same time. We totally won’t blow a 10 point lead in 1 minute. Maybe if he wants to sit the bench for a couple years and develop awesome. I don’t trust that Pope wouldn’t shove him in when he’s not ready though. I don’t want to have to see negative stuff about any more legends. Let’s just get the level players we need.

And YOU wonder why The Kentucky Wildcats men’s teams can’t recruit Top Level players or Coaches?
Here's Your Sign.

From a development standpoint I think most freshmen would benefit from playing their first year or two at a mid-major and then transferring to a Power 5 school. I suspect Feldhaus, Noah, Perry and even Johnson would or would have benefited from that scenario. Moreno's development probably benefited more from the size and physicality of a Power 5 conference, plus he got tons of playing time.

I refuse to get excited for ANY if these off season transfer announcements. Kentucky will likely offer feldhouse market value, or close to it.. so I dont feel confident at all that Pope is gonna be the deal breaker to make him come here. Hes gonna get say $1mil from a dozen schools, hed be stupid to pick Pope unless its all mid majors.

The teams I watched last night had guys I never heard of. Their common denominator? They worked hard, moved their feet and could shoot the ball. We need talent, but we also need hungry, humble talent. Does that even exist nowadays? I don’t know but the slow footed, lazy, uncoachable talent we had on this team needs to be sent packing. If that description applies to 1, 2 or 10 players then so be it. If we have lazy, unqualified coaches on staff, just happy to be here then they need to be sent out as well. This kid is an athlete. I think we all know his bloodlines. He’s not the end all cure all but he can become a piece of the puzzle then I have zero problem with it.

I still can't believe what I am reading here. You guys know Noah was a 3 star right? He was orders of magnitude better than this kid coming out of HS. You all saw what Noah did. Perry was a 4 star. Again.

I can't believe you guys, it's hard to take you as serious UK fans.
You must not have seen him play. Jake is better than Noah. More athletic and more aggressive. His level of competition was much greater than what Noah played against.

Feldhaus did not take basketball seriously until 2 years ago when he transferred to play for his uncle Allen. I don’t know that he attempted to play AAU. He concentrated on golf. He is a top D1 caliber golfer.

Feldhaus originally chose Belmont over Northern Kentucky and Jacksonville State.

Would be a multi-year developmental piece that would likely not play as a freshman (or sophomore) and would require patience and physical development.
Exactly why you let him go to Belmont and see how he does? If he does well, you bring him over. The days of developing big projects are over.
