2026 is going to be a 1930 or 2006 level wipeout. Trump is approaching Bush 2nd term levels on unpopular in the polls and we haven't hit sustained economic downturn or unpopular Middle East war yet. There is a chance the Dems might even win back the Senate

I participated in one of the university's PhD programs where they were measuring cognitive ability of seniors...I was doing OK until they sprouted out a combination of 9 numbers and letters. They then asked me to repeat the numbers and letters in numeric and alphabetical order. I had a hard time just remembering the numbers and letters much less putting them in order.

There aren't enough "homes" to put all of us who couldn't pass that test.

are you kidding, if I did that I'd be president. besides, I anticipate that at some point I'll only get a 90% and then my family will want to commit me.

Although, I'm pretty sure my results are "the best ever", never been anyone who did better". Sleepy Joe...well, he didn't get one right....

The only way the democrats lose the house in 2026 is if they run Kamala Harris in each and every district..or if somehow Trump turns this Iran war into a major win, oil and gas prices drop like a rock, grocery prices fall, ICE agents become the model citizens in their local communities and maybe Trump has a heart attack and has to resign.

Then we'll have a divided government, which in the past has been good for the country IMO. But this time could be a bigger disaster as we'll see Executive Order after EO, and the courts will become the defacto new Congress JMO

It’s hard for any president to overcome bad foreign policy *and* bad economic policy, even one like DT that seems to consistently beat the polling averages by a few points.

It’s still a long time until the midterms though, so I don’t personally put much stock into the current polls in terms of make predictions for the actual election results. Still useful as a measure of how people are viewing things of course.
