I'm hoping Acuff takes Cal to the Final Four, so that it puts more pressure on the Good Ole Boys up at Kentucky.

I want Cal to advance and then land Stokes. I don't want Stokes to save Pope's job by coming here. I then want UNC to make a huge hire. I want Pitino and Cal to both make the Final Four.

I want our fans to see all of it, and realize that we're behind to the extent that CHANGE will happen, even if Pope does something marginal (by UK standards) and finished top 3 in the SEC or gets to a Sweet Sixteen next year. Tubby left because the pressure was coming on all sides. Same for Calipari.

We have to get Pope out of Lexington as fast as possible.
Well good thing that won’t happen. Calipari is adverse to doing what it takes to actually doing that. They’ll go up against someone who limits acuff and they’ll go down. It’ll be a game that’s got ark up 6 with 5 to go, and he’ll pucker.

There’s already enough pressure. The issues are
a. We embarrassed ourselves already with our whiffs on coaches. We need a guy lined up before pope gets the ax
B. We have ZERO recruits. What Coach wants to step into that spot? Not a good start your first year.
c. The contract morons gave pope gives him another year as is

Now and next year is the time Kentucky as a program assesses their next move. I wouldn’t be shocked, however, to see pope fired halfway through the season if things go horrendously bad. I think Davis would be at unc next year had his team not lost a 19 point lead in the first round. There’s a tipping point and unfortunately we just aren’t there yet evidently. But again, I’m fine with Kentucky taking their time this go round. I’ve pretty much written next year off already. That’s not me being a disgruntled, privileged fan…it’s just basic observations. We have a bad coach who has no recruits next year.

Wanting it to get so bad you root for other teams’ success is stupid tho. How about we just suck enough where pope is fired without our opponents becoming world beaters?

I think that happens even if Cal loses this week which I’m hoping for.

I bet you at least 80% of UK fans would have voted to keep Calipari and let him finish here if they had known that Mitch was going to downgrade with Pope. Our fans would have loved Acuff, Smith Jr. (next year), and possibly Stokes.

What we have right now is worse than Calipari, because at least Cal accomplishes 1/2 of what is needed here - which is to land elite talent. Pope neither wins big or lands elite players.
No doubt about that, I would have rode with Cal for 6-8 more years had I known how the “search” went.

What Calipari does now means zilch in regards to Kentucky. His last four season here, he lost 46 games, and won a total of exactly 1 TOURNAMENT game. He left us a mess.

The fact that you are rooting for him, tells me you’re not a UK fan, you’re a Calipari fan. Quit pretending you’re a Kentucky fan Ellen.

Cal stopped getting those guys though. He had no nil money to spend either.

Acuff is making Cal look great this year like Walter Clayton made Golden look great last year. We need a great point guard!

Didn’t you just start a whiny thread about personal attacks and name calling?

Calipari was NOT landing elite players his last 5 years here. He would not have the players here he has at Arkansas. The Administration ( not Cal) paid big to have Brazille and Knox come back. Both could have , and would have here, entered the draft. Arkansas does NIL better than UK. That’s why Calipari has went farther at Arkansas that here.
List of Massive 5 stars Cal got since NIL here.
Askew
Edwards
TyTy
Brandon Boston
Collins
Burke, and there are more. All busts. Calipari was getting left overs here. He’s not suddenly rejuvenated. He has better players. The way we recruit and retain players here sucks. Pope is having just as hard a time recruiting as Cal did. The way we do business is the problem. Cal and Mitch got along fine before NIL came to town. By the time he left, they wouldn’t speak to each other. Barnhart put shackles on our recruiting and would not let Cal do the things others were doing and he hated Barnhart for it.

In all fairness, I remember well all the threads saying that if we get rid of Cal we might end up with something worse. Most of us were willing to take that chance. As the old saying goes, "You might just get what you ask for." I guess we did, didn't we?

Pathetic *** post from the worst poster on the board. What type of loser attitude is this? It helps nothing and forces nothing. Arkansas escaped High Point and is getting their *** handed to them. You got Pope derangement syndrome, if he has a bad season next year he's gone until then shut up with this ***** made ****. Cheering for Arkansas lmaoooooo

I'm starting to be on board with giving pope a healthy 3rd year and see what we can do.
I mean nothing we can do. But I lready know what he’s going to do. Be fired. This job is too big for him pope wasn’t even going to survive BYU.
