Mississippi was never hosting with or without this game. We just got to make sure they lose at least 2 this weekend.Memphis has a good shot at being quad 4 by the end of the year. That’ll be a dead cat in the wood pile for OM come hosting selections.
It probably won't be a Quad 4 since it was on the roadMemphis has a good shot at being quad 4 by the end of the year. That’ll be a dead cat in the wood pile for OM come hosting selections.
Ole Miss loses at #192 RPI Memphis tonight 6-2
Plenty of spots to move down but when you are number six there very few spots to move up.Some may argue its merits but they lose to a 6-16 team and drop two spots. We beat the number 3 team in RPI and stay the same.
Huh!!!! Southern Miss !!!!!!The trend of not so good losses for SEC teams continue as Texas also loses on the road to #71 Houston.
State seems to be the only team in the SEC who has not lost to a nobody in the non-con.
I mean, they went 1-2 @ Texas and 2-1 v. UK at home so far. I get they don't have a great resume so far and that was a bad loss last night, but are they really in that bad of shape? I mean, I'd bet on state getting 2 out of 3 this weekend, but just looking at their record, I'm not seeing anything to make me think that two wins are almost guaranteed or that a sweep is likely.Hunter Elliot will keep their hopes alive for 4 innings Friday night. The rest of the weekend will be painful for them. Bianco sounded depressed in the post game tonight.
I think they're a solid NCAA tournament team. Without our Friday starter, we could very well lose 2 this weekend. I doubt either team sweeps.I mean, they went 1-2 @ Texas and 2-1 v. I get that but there are plenty, in fact most of the bad non-con losses in the SEC this season have happened at home. We have been right along with them in previous years. Just not this year so far.We also haven't played any nobodies on the road on their home fields in front of dozens of fans. It can cause a loss of focus.
This team has really only played in front of big to huge crowds so far. The least raucous crowds were in Arlington.

I don't think we win Friday without McPherson. Their Sunday guy has been horrible. We should win that one. To me, that means Saturday decides who wins the series.I think they're a solid NCAA tournament team. Without our Friday starter, we could very well lose 2 this weekend. I doubt either team sweeps.
I've got confidence in Valencius vs pretty much anyone. And I've got confidence our lineup can hit vs pretty much anyone. I think all 3 will be good games. Agree that Sunday is probably most likely win.I don't think we win Friday without McPherson. Their Sunday guy has been horrible. We should win that one. My statements were assuming that Valencius is staying on Saturday. Is he moving to Friday?I've got confidence in Valencius vs pretty much anyone. And I've got confidence our lineup can hit vs pretty much anyone. I think all 3 will be good games. Agree that Sunday is probably most likely win.
Edit: Certainly not saying we're going to win Friday. But I'm in no way giving up on that game.
I would guess so. But I don't know. If he does stay on Saturday, I definitely agree with you.My statements were assuming that Valencius is staying on Saturday. Is he moving to Friday?
knock on wood, have to keep taking care of business. The trend of not so good losses for SEC teams continue as Texas also loses on the road to #71 Houston.
