the fact that he left here to go to SMU tells you all you need to know about how in demand he was. compare this to when lucas left the staff to go to duke.. this is probably a good thing
No recruiting restrictions like the JMI deal and he doesn’t have to be concerned about Pope conversing with the recruit which probably is a deal killer
Except he was the lead recruiter for Stokes. Which mean we're not getting him.

hart has landed exactly zero recruits he targeted. at this stage its not that big of a deal. its all about the size of the check.
We need our next AD to ban the LDS from ever stepping foot on university grounds
I’m not laying blame directly per se but it’s a scary sign that we’re not getting anyone. And Pope is gonna have to try and make a FF in with Jimmy from the corner and Joe from the church league.

Absolutely wouldn't surprise me if he gets Stokes and Pate there, especially if Self retires. SMU has money and they're a nike school which seems to be the only hang up on Stokes to Kansas aside from Self's questionable return.
Pope isn’t the kind of guy who lets coaches go. He can’t even get players he doesn’t want to leave. They have to be unhappy with their situation to leave. Hart left on his own and we should be concerned if there are 3 more guys leaving so early in Pope’s career at Kentucky. That didn’t spell confidence in Pope’s ability to do well here.
Didn’t he used to be Donovan’s top assistant back in the day before taking the Arkansas gig?
Considering one of the front runners for the position is a member of the LDS that supposedly helped make the Mark Pope hire happen, I wouldn’t hold my breath…

Looks to me like Pope Needs to get rid of most of the assistants in order to show he’s pulling out all the stops to right this ship. I don’t even know if it can be righted. But he will be here another year at least. I can’t understand why we are having trouble getting kids to sign with a brand like Kentucky, even bad coaches sign a few good players. With NIL and the Brand name behind it even Bozo could sign a few big name players, something needs to happen soon.

We were coping hard with the hire, let’s be real. No one was hyped about the Pope hire but what choice did we have but to accept it? davis was at unc for 5 seasons. he missed the NCAAT one year and should have missed in a 2nd but got lucky with a run. pope just finished year 2....
I don't think any of us are. I think a lot of us are sick of the bull****. And patience is thin- especially when other programs are fixing their eff ups.
All of our assistants suck. Why would we be upset about them all leaving? Every single one of them need to go.

Dink Pate would be a splash type player for SMU. Different standards than UK. Good for Hart, he went somewhere on his level. He clearly could not bring in recruits needed at UK.
Now if the head coach would follow his lead...
