there's an endless - literally - litany of such occasions

I totally agree on the "national" rivalry not being important. I just think it reflects how crappy our program has gotten in 20 years that we have lowered our standards to Iowa being a rival. I'd rather whip Ohio State 3-5 times and creating a secondary rival for them. I want to be rivals with a team I respect and might even have some jealousy of.Anyway - It can be a fun discussion.

Iowa is nothing to me they have never won anything in football or basketball of significance, they should really be embarrassed because Indiana has won a national championship in football before they did. The 1950 something fake championships doesn’t count Iowa. you can’t manufacture a rivalry similar to the big 12 trying to make Colorado our rival. You can’t!

I am being dead honest with you - I just don't hate Iowa. I literally don't care about you guys. Losing to Iowa for me is absolutely no worse than losing to any team in the B1G. There are some fans on here who feel different, but for me - Iowa is actually boring, has nothing I want and isn't a team I respect, look up to or am jealous of their success.
I know that comes across as a shot at Iowa. It's just me being honest. Unlike you, who are on our board boasting and puffing your chest out over the win. If Nebraska would've won, I'd be reading the news about our next opponent and getting excited for Saturday. But instead, this board gets inundated with Iowa fans who are talking smack and puffing their chests out.

Actually I enjoy going to quite a few different boards with Cyclone fanatic BWI Penn St and the Northwestern board being the ones I most frequent. Minnesota doesn’t have much action on theirs. I think Iowa fans get a kick out of observing your inflated egos. You have some of the worst athletic programs in the Big Ten but your attitudes are exactly opposite. I hate to break it to you but fans of the big ten schools including Iowa are laughing at you.

How do we have some of the worst athletic programs in the big 10? As far as men go we were 2nd in basketball, we won the baseball last year 3rd in wrestling. Our track program in and out is strong and our golf team just won a tournament this spring. Please explain how we are bottom barrel in athletics?
