Too many empties in Carmichael last night. Big time game Sunday….come out and support this team!
I’m afraid a noon tip on Sunday will hold the attendance down some. The couple that sat beside me yesterday, he is a preacher in High Point and won’t be there. Others won‘t make it either. This old backslider will be there and loud.

Curious if the two losing teams from Friday keep their seat allotments on Sunday or does UNC get those back to sell?

That is an embarrassing attendance figure! Kudos to all who showed up and showed out. We were there in both games in “full voice” - lol!

It's going to take a player of super star status to bring the crowd, and hopefully Kate Harping will be what Catlin Clark was for Iowa in attendance. In no way I am insinuating that Harping will be another Clark, but crowds will come to see exceptional players and teams. CB is probably just a center away from having a final four team, which will be rank in the top 10 going forward.

Okay folks, I will say this one more time. Number 1, students were on spring break this is going to affect the attendance. The timing was bad. Ask I keep saying we need to hire a marketing person to help market and find a way to get more people to want to come to their games. I would call Dawn Staley, and some other head coaches who attendance at home games is outstanding and I would find out what the blank they did to get the attendance to go from a very little to a pack house for home games. We all know that before Dawn got to SC the attendance for women's games was the pits. Now look at it, it is off the chain. So, the question is how did she do it.? There is no shame in your game to call her and ask her how she do it.

Maybe the PTB could move spring break to 2 weeks later. That would help

We do have a marketing person attached to UNC WBB but I have not been very impressed with her so far in my limited interactions with her around publicizing our annual partnership with Family Reading Partners of Orange Co.
Once our season is over I'll reach out to Liz and a contact I have at the Rams' Club and share some thoughts/concerns with them.

I did hear last night during some WBB TV coverage of the Texas game that when Vic Shaeffer arrived there were about 1000 season ticket holders and they are up to 6000 now. What has made the difference, besides a winning record? Seems like Texas would be another program to touch base with.

Not sure where to stick this but this link has the 2025/26 home game attendance averages off of the ACC website. We are #8, far lower than we should be.

Our overall attendance apparently took a hit after Deja Kelly left. Wonder if we'll see a bump next year with Kate Harpring arriving?
Guarantee attendance will improve, not often that a player of Kate Harping rankings and honors out of HS will draw attention. She will be one of the most talk about players entering the ACC next year, and two years of being in the sweet sixteen should help as well.

I’m gonna buy season tickets for the first time I go to a few games a year and I’m not sure I’ll even be able to make it to that many but I want to support the program. Really hoping we can bring back a lot of of the young players that made so much progress this year but I know the current environment in college sports is a little crazy.

I don’t know if this has anything to do with attendance at WBB or not but a lot of Carolina fans I know are in somewhat of a negative mindset now because of FB and MBB not being what they expect. I say, go out and support the teams that are succeeding. Also we have got to make it a happening for the students. Put them all in the bleachers where they can jump up and down, go crazy and get on TV. Would also improve the home court advantage. Someone get this message to the appropriate Ram’s Club people.
