Man this season could have been so much worse

Lets say Moreno doesn't hit the shot vs LSU (we were outplayed the entire game).
We lose both to UT (down 20 both times) and Otega doesn't hit a prayer against SANTA CLARA (assuming they still let us in the tournament) that is 4 losses easily I am sure there are a few more that could have went against us.

Yes, we were good enough to win those with the right bounces. But I would argue we need luck for a lot of those, they miss shots that would normally fall or our terrible block outs were negated by the ball just bouncing to a guy in a random position.

Reminds me a golf round I catch a lucky break off a tree, make a chip in and 2 putts over 25 feet to shoot 81 which could have easily been an 86.
I want to feel great about the 81, but my brain says those things were based on as much luck as they were skill. The chip - usually just ends up close or having to make a putt, the shot off the tree goes in the woods and the 2 putts stay out more than they go down on average.

The real truth is we were several wins worse than what it ended up being, and that lack of fight and intensity comes from the top.

I really do not want to do this again next year, please make it stop.

They should have lost to Santa Clara. A bunch of overpaid trash stole the best part of March Madness from a mid-major that probably combines for <$1M NIL across the entire roster.

Total poetic justice that they got blown out by a team that -- right before tipoff -- found out their best player and All-American would not be playing.

If you believe anything in meritocracy, there is nothing to like about this team, and they got exactly what they deserved. Starting with the loudmouth clown at the top stealing $5M+ a year and yapping about how they are going to "do better" and "not fail".

**** this team.

I sure hope you’re not a therapist of any kind. With that bedside manner you’d soon run out of clients. We just gotta make our voices heard and not allow this kind of thing to ever happen again. This past season was an abject failure in all facets. I’d expect a resignation letter on the AD’s desk if it repeats itself this time next year.

I get the Auburn game, but that does not fully even it out. It was just one that didn't go our way, but in truth they were SO BAD we should have not been in that position even on the road.
I would say on the close games the law of averages tipped our way slightly this year. But next year that could go the other way, and we are just wasting time instead of moving on.

The truth is we need the ball to bounce our way, the other team to miss WIDE OPEN shots and then we have a shot to have a 50/50 win.
But we NEVER just manhandled a team from start to finish, you could argue Vandy at home but they made a game of it in the second half.

This does not count quad 3 games

I've already moved on from this season. My concern now is finding a way to avoid the NIT next year.

If Pope can't convince ONE high schooler to come here, then I've no confidence he can convince decent college players to come.

Sorry, I digressed. Me angry.

I want to compete, I really don't care about just making the tournament next year.
He has proved he can accomplish that at least, but I don't have any faith he can make us actually competitive to the title.

Imagine if Lowe hadn't wrecked his shoulder. Imagine if JQ had testicles. Imagine if Kam never missed time. Imagine if we hadn't been ref bufu'd several times. Hell, Imagine they had hired Bruce Pearl like I asked

Go root for another team then we don't need fans like you. You can be critical without being derogatory and calling people names. Try not acting like a child and maybe you would be taken more seriously.

The auburn game.

We shouldn’t have lost to UNC or Missouri either but those were more our own doing imo. We got screwed against Auburn.
