Thanks a lot Mitch, look at what you’ve done to one of the best basketball programs in the country.
It’s not in the top 20 of the worst tournament losses we’ve had. I don’t give a rats *** about the margin. It doesn’t matter whether you lose by 1 or a hundred, you still go home.

The worst losses, everything considered, were….

Oakland
St Peters
Middle Tennessee
UAB

I know that we have had bad losses along the way but I can't remember another game where we looked so utterly incompetent. We didn't lay an egg, we left a cow pie.

We are still being laughed at over the Oakland loss. We didn't guard ONE player who was standing at the perimeter shooting 3's. That has to be the worse one I can remember. BTW, Iowa St is a darn good team. Oakland????

Uh, no. The margin is irrelevant. Losing as a 7 to a 2 is not worse than losing as a 3 to a 14 (St. Peters) a 2 to a 15 (Oakland) or even a 1 to a nine (UAB.) IT is not worse than losing to a very average Kansas State team coach by Jerome Tang when you have the National Player of the year and an NBA caliber guard.

This was a wasted season and a mediocre tournament, with one thrilling win and an embarrassing loss. But it was better than all three of Calipari’s last tournaments at Kentucky.

You lost me there. UK lost as a 6 to a 3 seed by 6 points n 2023. This wasn't better than that. Competing and almost making a sweet 16 is better then losing by 20. No argument on the dumpster fires that were 2022 and 2024 ncaa tournament losses though.

Oh that was bad . Looked like we didn't know who that guy was.

Iowa St is good. The twenty TO's, one e

Averaging one turn over every two minutes makes you look like a rec team. No, it wouldn't rank as a worse loss but the optics were.

Yeah, this team was optically horrible all season long! About the only player I can't remember committing multiple bad turnovers this season was Kam. DA seemed to get better as he learned to play PG but Oweh, BG, MM, CC, Mo all had turnovers that were as bad as it gets.

This was a strange year all the way around. The 3 winningest programs all had early exits (UNC, Kansas, UK). IU didn't even make the tournament. Kansas blew out Iowa State in one game and was blown out by Iowa State in another game. Gonzaga was blown out by Michigan by 40 and also had an early exit.

All I did was share an espn article and the title of the thread is the exact same as the one for the article and the Popettes are having a meltdown at me over it and trying to argue with me about it? I guess none of you guys even looked at the article. That’s the biggest margin of defeat we’ve had since ‘72 in the tournament.

Uh, that’s the exact title for the article I shared.

I can’t help that espn had that as the title for their article. I know you didn’t read it so why argue with me about it?

We had an actual player on the other team actually say this team quit which was true and some still defend this crap. Amazing.
I was surprised to log on and have people arguing with me over the title of an espn article that I shared that they didn’t even look at.
