Hey, Grandpa, What’s for Supper?

Had a chick fil-a spicy chicken sandwich for lunch. I put jalapenos and cayenne pepper on a lot of things I eat but this was a little too hot for me. Spicy and hot are two different things. Spicy allows the flavor of the food to come through. This was so hot I couldn't taste the chicken. It's marinated in cayenne pepper so every bite is packed with heat. I added a pile of pickles and mayo to cut down the fire but it didn't help. Vanilla ice cream after I finished it helped a little. lol Just ate some Rolaids.
For supper tonight it's my wife's homemade supreme pizza. Damn good!

Having one of my favorites tonight. It's been slow cooking for 7 hours in the crock pot. Cowboy casserole.
Last night I had fried Bright Leaf bologna, baby reds mashed potatoes with butter and cheddar cheese, crowder peas, hush puppies, unsweetened iced tea, rice krispie treats.
Subway tuna sub, potato chips, diet Pepsi, a couple of Hershey's miniatures dark chocolate.
Today was one of the few days in a year that I purposely pig out. The other 2 days are Thanksgiving day and Xmas day.
I went to the Robbins Nest buffet off I-95 in Selma. UNC friend of mine owned it years ago but he sold it. Get this. His real name was Dean Smith. lol His wife's name was Robbin.
I had fried shrimp, fried trout, deviled crabs, slaw, hamburger steak with onion gravy, mashed potatoes with gravy, black eyed peas, snap beans, meatloaf, chicken pastry, cracklins, BBQ, buttermilk pie, lemon meringue pie, peach cobbler, water, diet Pepsi. 3 hours ago and I still can't breath. lmao

Back to my normal meals now that I got the binge out of my siystem.
I thought so too. I'm pretty sure that tomorrow night , I'm going to try that new hamburger from McDonald's, the Big Arch. Saw that advertised on tv last night and it looked really good!
Yeah, right? And that was nothing else, drinks, nothing!
And oh, the Burger King double whopper is bigger, better and alot cheaper.
I change it up with different combinations. Pretty simple. Start with mustard, chili, and onions, then I might add a hair of ketchup on the next one. Then I may have just chili with some grated cheese. And I always add sprinkles paprika or red pepper. But never slaw, NEVER EVER lol And I don't ear beef hot dogs. I was raised on Bright Leaf pork dogs and bologna.
I was raised in Burlington and there, our hot dog choices are as follows:
*hot dog = wiener with toppings
*cheese dog = cheese cut off of a block same shape and size of a wiener.
*combination = wiener and cheese
* deluxe= cheese, wiener and strip of bacon
My toppings are typically, mayo, not mustard (just my taste), chili and onions. And sometimes, if it's really good, slaw.
I've been in Wilmington for 30 years and I do miss the cheese dogs.
Wife wants a salad so I guess it will be chicken egg rolls and a salad, beef and peppers over rice, unsweetened tea, and lemon dipped shortbread cookies.
How was Arby's fish sandwich? Was craving one but leaning towards the Popeyes flounder one instead.
I think its the best fish sandwich out there and you have a choice of crispy or Cajun. You get 2 for 7 bucks and they are huge. I make one sandwich out of the 2. The fish hangs out of the bun in every direction. Big piece of fish and good flavor as well. I've only had Popeye's once. An Arbys is 5 miles from my house. Popeye's and Bojangle's both quite a distance away. McDonald's fish is a joke. About the size of a post it note for over 5 bucks? No thanks.
