I would not care about a single player on this roster leaving

Blow it all up.

Go in the portal and find 4 guards that can dribble and shoot, some wings that can defend and provide spacing, and some bigs that can score inside and out.

This roster construction was a total failure. If any of these guys come back they need to be 15 minute per game role players at the very most. If Pope runs it back with Kam-Chandler-Moreno and whoever else as starters we will lose 20 games

It's wild to watch other games and see all these teams with guys that are so much better than what we have. Guards who can shoot and get to the basket, bigs who can rebound and score inside, wings who can defend and make threes. We have like maybe the 40th most talented team this year, insane how bad recruiting/talent evaluation is.

Please name me 1 coach in all of college BB that had 3 starters/key players not play because of injuries that would have a significant better record?

AGREED. Coach too. Pope showed that you can put together a team in one year with transfers and it can be pretty good as long as you don't have injuries.

Clear them out i reckon except for the Kentucky boys

I'm on board. Now that continuity is becoming less and less of a thing, and recruiting isn't as big a deal as it used to be, I actually look forward to the portal process. What I don't look forward to is stupid "I appreciate all the money you gave me, and allowing me to build my brand, I'm moving on" ********. Just LEAVE. Pope has to know his *** is on the hot seat now, so I expect staff changes and him working his *** off with the portal to try and address issues. Maybe this time he'll be a look smarter about weeding out the guys who are likely to milk injuries and hold out for the draft.

There isn't a single player I would be too worried about losing, but I would be worried if we lost them all. I think some continuity is a good thing, even from a disappointing season. In roughly this order, I would like to keep some combination of:

Kam
Chandler
Moreno
Lowe
Hawthorne
Dioubate
Jelavic

Time to let loose BG, and I feel certain Jasper isn't coming back regardless, but if I were coach/GM I wouldn't put much effort in retaining him anyway.

No time for Pope and the staff to mope, they need to get on the phone with agents today.

Edit: I forgot to even mention Noah, which should tell you about how much I rate his importance.

How about not recruiting injured players and then going into the season expecting them to play? NEVER recruit injured players, I don't give a **** what their " upside " is
I'm thinking you're talking about Lowe. With JQ it was never about him being injured. It was about whether he would try and avoid having to play so that he can get ready for the draft. I do think that without so much fan pressure and pressure on Pope, that JQ would never have played a minute. His draft potential had to be higher than it is now.

I was talking about both of them. Why waste 3 million dollars?

Jasper has been shooting off his mouth for a while that he is out of there when the season is over. Hubert Davis possibly being fired has eliminated UNC as the leader for his services.

I’d say be careful what you wish for because Pope would be recruiting their replacements and I don’t have much confidence in his ability

Garrison CAN be elite defensively, and on the break he's unstoppable. It's all the other crap that would have to be knocked out of his head. Mo worked his *** off late in the season.
Garrison is unstoppable on the break??? Are you drinking? Garrison literally kicks the ball out of bounds backwards on a break. He’s the goofiest human to ever play ball. Mo D might work but he’s way undersized, can’t shoot or dribble. There’s a reason Oates wanted him gone.

Please name 1 coach that would willingly come into a season with only one true PG on roster. Please name 1 that would bank the most NIL on a kid coming off a late season ACL tear.

this roster was touted as 14 deep, 2 injuries shouldn’t have killed it. The problem wasn’t the 2 injuries it was the misevaluation of 10 other guys

Go back and watch him in the Santa Clara game. He CAN bring it when his head is in the game. The question is the inconsistency.

I'm not that plugged in with those sorts of things, I don't have instagram etc., but if this is true he really should've been out of the rotation entirely by this point. His minutes today were awful, this screen grab came after his disastrous cameo in the first half.[Game Thread] #7 Kentucky @ #2 Iowa State (0245 PM ET) rCollegeBasketball.png

When I think of Garrison on the break I think of him missing the layup against Auburn about a minute before they hit a buzzer beater to beat us.

I don't think by any means Oats wanted Dioubate gone, but he definitely recognized his value and knew he wasn't worth what he was asking.

Chandler is a guard that can’t dribble, Kam is a scoring wing that can’t score, Moreno is a 7 footer that can’t rebound, Jelavic is a stretch 4 that can’t shoot. I wouldn’t be mad at any of them leaving. Plenty of portal guys would be an upgrade

Keep Chandler, Moreno (as a backup), and Mo. Kam and Hawthorn can also stay as support pieces. Potter might as well stay and ride the pine as a cigar guy.

Everyone else should leave or take an NIL pay cut if they stay.

If garrison comes back I’m not watching a game next year. He’s awful!
I can’t take his not showing up 80% of the time. When he does I think he could be useful, but it never fails. A good team shows up and he folds.
