I’ve never seen a Kentucky team at this point of the year lacking in understanding and basic fundamentals of the game. Maybe they win but looking at the big picture the team is so poorly coached in every aspect. Had a 20-9 lead and now losing 31-30. 8 unforced turn overs - really? It’s so hard to enjoy their games because often it’s not quality basketball. It’s been this way most of the season. Anybody else feel the same?

Intensity has been lacking all year with this team. They coasted to multipe huge deficits. If they ever do get a lead they relax and give it away immediately. All leads back to clappy.
Really suspect officiating Aberdeen, Chandler and Oweh all in bad foul trouble with 16 minutes left. That doesn’t ever happen.
We are getting manhandled by a team without their best player and they are just rubbing our nose in the dirt and there is not a damn thing Pope or any of our high priced players can do about. If we knew how they played why weren’t we better prepared. Losing to an Iowa state team that we should beat. We don’t belong in this game or in this tournament and this is a disgrace and I hope Pope hears this all day every day. This is the first time I’ve said this but I don’t think Pope is the man for this job and there are a lot of reasons as to why. Recruiting, no players coming in as of now, 18 turnovers with 10 minutes left in the game today. We were totally unprepared for this game, we look like a street ball team with no game plan.

No, I was trying to give him the benefit of the doubt, but My patience run out today. I’ve been really irritated with him a lot this year. You got to have the fire and show it with this job, you can’t be passive in all aspects of coaching like he is, it just won’t work here!

Picking up your dribble after you are doubled team or near the sidelines.
Team has size but no drop steps, spin, or quality moves around the rim from the big men.
Quality high school teams don’t have these issues. I can list much more but if you are defending Pope then I assume you must be a relative. So yeah you are probability right. If this team didn’t have good fundamentals they would have had many more double digit loses and got beat by 30+ yesterday instead of 19.

This! I’m not sure if it’s personnel or what. Seems we ran all kinds of sets last season. This season, not so much.
It’s like we are a totally different program in one year. It’s so weird. That’s scary that he had all offseason to prepare this roster, all the money in the world, and he and the staff couldn’t figure out how to get them to play over all this time. He seems to seriously want to bring back like 9 or 10 of the current roster as well. That may be even worse. Minus 00 and Aberdeen with this core of 10 guys who can return, we would win maybe 10 games.

I’ve been trying too, as yall all know. What is crazy to me is that we didn’t really improve any throughout the year. I mean, we did, but the stupid decisions and low IQ lasted ALL season.
We finally started playing a style that gave us a chance to compete some nights but as Iowa State said, we gave up as soon as we got into a hole after a run. That happened all year, we had more embarrassing losses this year and some last than in my whole life combined. That’s why he has to go. He can’t recruit, he can’t really coach, his assistants are doing nothing, he’s soft which makes our team soft. He just isn’t cut out for the big leagues.
I think a lot of people have been very unfair to you lately on here. If they have been around any time they should know you are a die hard fan and don’t accept the BS that our program has become over the last 6-7 years.
Just because you tried to stay positive or stick with the team doesn’t mean you were pumping him up or protecting him. You still called out the nonsense when it happened after those type games.
