This would've been good sarcasm without everything before "but."

We won 6 of 8 in the semis = 75%.

Yeah, that's probably down a little from the around 80% historically but holy hell we just had 8 national semifinalists and won 3/4 of those matches.

If that's a down year ...

Pretty sure we were 8 for 8 in the QF.
14-2 for a 87.5% winning percentage on Friday. Not a program in the country that would say no to an annual Friday winning percentage like that.

No. Look, it’s splitting hairs, but before last year, PSU had 26 one-seeds under Cael and produced 21 champions from them. That’s 81%.

The past 2 years we’ve had 11 one-seeds. If Luke wins, it’ll be 6 champs. That’s 55%.
Like I said, there are more guys lately getting those one-seeds, and there are more/better offseason international results, but it’s something that has happened nonetheless.

Merrill is NOT “less than average”. Come on. You don’t make the national finals being less than average. His style sucks but it works for him. He’s always wrestled this way and always been extremely successful. Hopefully more guys figure out how to beat him.
Agree. People like to tear people down makes them feel good about themselves
