Honestly. Kentucky fans should be proud that we’ve won 8 with the NCAA constantly trying to hurt the program: from the 50s scandals, to the “broke open” envelope and near-SMU-ing of the program, Laettner’s uncalled stomp on Timberlake, to the Rooferee
And that is just to name a few screw jobs. Shot clock violation BS against Wisconsin just to name another.

Don’t forget gifting Lute Olsen with a title in 1997.

Arizona 44 free throw attempts

Kentucky 17 free throw attempts

As of January 15th this year, duke had shot 181 more FTs than their opponents. AND they’ve shot more FTs than opponent in EVERY game. Lmao gonna try to find more data.
I think there were two games all year they didn’t shoot more than the opponent. One was at UNC and another I recall attempts were equal. May have possibly been one more but when the opponent gets more than Duke we are talking a few not 10’s. The whistle they get is nauseating. I know boozer had 6 games all season long he was whistled for more than 2 fouls. 6 games. 1 foul out, 1 with 4 and 4 with 3. How can a player of his size playing 35 minutes per game just rarely ever foul. He does of course, just gets away with it. Again just nauseating.

The public at large is not in love with Duke like the officials seem to be so I have a couple questions:

If it is not something mandated from the top, how come officials love Duke a lot more than the general public and why aren't there any refs that seem to hate Duke like a lot of them obviously hate some universities I won't name here?

Yeah no kidding. Most college basketball fans I’ve talked to (uk and other fan bases) hate Duke. Theres at least begrudging respect for UK usually .

@AMTGSLB GITT and explain to us that duke doesn’t get preferential treatment! Also, GITT and tell us how much UK gets preferential treatment! The facts, duke has shot 299 more FTs than opponent. In contrast, UK has shot 34 more FTs than opponent. You’re on the clock!

Lulz. There was a difference of 5 fould called in the game. 15 - 20. However, if you paid any attention, TCU went 5 of 10 from the line, in part, because of not being fould on shot attempts and in part because they missed the front end of one and one, negating the additional attempt they could have gotten. Meanwhile, duke shot a much higher percentage from the line. Are you now claiming the refs or duke made TCU miss theirs?

You realize Duke has multiple players that drive the ball this year, thus they get fouled more. We have Otega who drives the ball and that's about it. He turns it over, or misses it about half the time, so you really don't have to foul him. He also bricks FTs often, so he gives up FT attempts as well when missing the front end of a 1 and 1.

This is rocket science, bud.
