I think some fans are forgetting how good we were last year. 10 AAs, 8 top-3, and set the scoring record even though Kerk defaulted out of his last 2 matches.

Period 1:
Circling, tying up & hand fighting. Luke presses the pace & pushes forward. Strickenberger reaches for a leg, but can't finish. Luke keeps the pressure on. Strickenberger shoots, Luke counters, but nobody scores, 2-min left. Hand fighting, tying up & some snaps. Luke takes Strickenberger near the edge. Strickenberger circles back in & reaches for a leg, but can't get there. Luke shoots, but Strickenberger kicks away. Luke picks an ankle, lifts the leg & trips Strickenberger to the mat. Strickenberger counters & fights free, then we're back on the feet circling, tying up & hand fighting, 45-sec left. Luke reaches, but can't get there. Luke keeps pressing forward. Strickenberger is circling around the mat & time expires. 0-0

Period 2:
Strickenberger takes down. He works to his feet & gets the escape, 1-0. Back to tying up & hand fighting with Luke pressing forward. Luke drops to a leg & elevates it. Strickenberger rolls & gets a leg. Luke comes out on top & works into a double leg, then he finishes the TD, 3-1. Luke has Strickenberger bellied out on the edge. He's working a crossface. Strickenberger works to his feet, but Luke takes him out of bounds, restart. Strickenberger is still down. He works to his feet. Luke tries to jack him up, but Strickenberger squirms free for the escape, 3-2. Tying up & hand fighting again. Luke keeps pressing forward & time ends. 3-2 Luke + riding time (no clock)

Period 3:
Luke takes down. He pops to his feet & gets the escape, 4-2. Luke has +57-sec RT. Circling, tying up & hand fighting. Luke presses forward again. Strickenberger reaches for a leg, but can't get there. Strickenberger shoots & gets a leg, but Luke kicks free. Head swipes & circling, then tying up. Strickenberger presses forward a bit now. He shoots, but Luke counters & gets a leg. Strickenberger rolls & gets free, then they're tying up on the edge. Out of bounds & neutral restart. Strickenberger charges forward, but Luke dodges all his attempts & time expires.

I think Luke matches up well vs either spratley or Robinson, but Robinson was absolutely the more close matchup from a speed/ athleticism standpoint.
