He would return next year given receiving all the money.
I'm not suggesting that will happen I am just saying an honorable person would do that.

Well, in a real world, that would make perfect sense, however most are missing the key point here…He would return next year given receiving all the money.

If he had any honor he would have sacked up after getting exposed and would have helped us finish better in the league. He would return next year given receiving all the money.

We will find out his knee is 95% healed and he is drafted and does Pro Day and looks great. He will only do individual workouts and won’t scrimmage due to his injury and being out of shape. Every team will run multiple tests on his kneeWell, in a real world, that would make perfect sense, however most are missing the key point here…
That would require him to actually play in the games, and he’s run out of excuses for not doing that, so he’s going to take the opportunity to go to the next level, and get drafted (notice I didn’t say play), and get as much $$$ as he can, before he gets cut for impersonating a professional basketball player!
I can’t wait to see what excuse(s) he uses for not being able to play scrimmages at the NBA Combine, because there’s no way he made it this far, just ruin it all by doing so.
Let me guess, he should come next year for free right? Since we already payed him all that money. He would return next year given receiving all the money.

The farther away from this program he can get would be the best answerHe would return next year given receiving all the money.

Could he return the 22mil and distribute to posters here? Get 100k each? lolI have no issues with JQ, because I genuinely believe he's hurt.
HOWEVER, if the head coach had any honor then he would return the $22 million.
I agree. If I were coach, I would ask the doctor, does he have swelling yes or no. If No, he plays. If he doesn't play. He pays back what he owes.Well if JQ were to come back, I will take back all the bad things I’ve said about him. Which is nothing because I don’t blame the kid, I blame his coach.
I’m not so sure that Pope isn’t involved in all of this. Nothing like built in excuses that the fan base uses if you fail. “Well, if we would have had JQ” “Pope needs a year with a healthy roster”I agree. If I were coach, I would ask the doctor, does he have swelling yes or no. If No, he plays. If he doesn't play. He pays back what he owes.
This is spot on. It shouldn’t be any more complicated than this.I agree. If I were coach, I would ask the doctor, does he have swelling yes or no. If No, he plays. If he doesn't play. He pays back what he owes.
OK man, I have to say this, what kind of "honor" do you have? If your Son had tried to play for a school after rehab, reinjured his knee, and tried to come back, the whole time being completely ****on by half the fanbase as a quitter and thief, would you advise the kid to come back to UK and make $2M or so or would you tell him to take the 1st round guarantee waiting for him that will pay him $22M even if he is the Fifteenth Player taken($10M guaranteed)? If JQ wants to come back, great, but this "honor" dog crap is about as valid as the "Pope should resign if he has Honor" idiocy. I'm sure everyone here walks into their bosses office and resign if they have a subpar year. I'm sureHe would return next year given receiving all the money.
I'm not suggesting that will happen I am just saying an honorable person would do that.
Just ’cause you saw him walking at a girls game don’t make you Dr. House, broJQ was a gamble that totally blew up in our face. That’s what it comes down to. Mark put a lot of chips on the table with him, and he busted.
By the way, JQ is not injured. He’s been healthy enough to play for weeks. Zero doubt about this.
Shame on Pope. Can't make that gamble unless you suck at recruiting. Oh wait....JQ was a gamble that totally blew up in our face. That’s what it comes down to. Mark put a lot of chips on the table with him, and he busted.

You have valid points but he didn't reinjury his knee. It's just possible complications from a typical ACL surgery. Nothing out of the ordinary. Given the swelling took place well over a month ago then he's playing it safe to safeguard any NBA draft chances. To suggest otherwise is foolish and I hope the NBA sees a quitter.OK man, I have to say this, what kind of "honor" do you have? If there was even one report that he had "reinjured" his knee, then not one single fan would have said a negative word about it. I think the timing is what made people skeptical. He stopped playing after his dad publicly criticized the coaching staff. Everything you said might be true, but you can't blame people for being skeptical considering the timing and lack of information about the situationOK man, I have to say this, what kind of "honor" do you have? Skeptical is fine. Character assassination on a 19 year old is another. I know its all part of it, and he is a big boy making good money...but to act like the way he has been dogged out wouldn't effect his decision to come back if he did want to do us a solid is just ridiculous. The way his dad reacted tells you kids today do look at that, and I am sure those kids pass along what their time here was like, good or bad, to other top kidsIf there was even one report that he had "reinjured" his knee, then not one single fan would have said a negative word about it. The day his dad spoke out against his usage I knew his "career" at UK was over. I think they thought Pope would run the offense through him like he did Amari Williams, let him shoot 3s, basically anything to help his draft stock. Once he had a couple subpar games they shut him down with no intention to return.Just hearing Quaintance talk he sounded like an intelligent, well-grounded, mature beyond his years and over-all impressive young man. His father on the other hand, from reading the comments attributed to him, came across as head-scratchingly clueless.
He came here to make money, not play basketball. He would return next year given receiving all the money.
I'm not suggesting that will happen I am just saying an honorable person would do that.
That’s what happened . Cali and Mitch gamble with Commonwealth money and give stupid contracts to themselves and coaches……and the coaches. Gamble with the money too…JQ was a gamble that totally blew up in our face. That’s what it comes down to. Mark put a lot of chips on the table with him, and he busted.
By the way, JQ is not injured. He’s been healthy enough to play for weeks. Zero doubt about this.
He is just an 18 year old kid. Give me and the fans a break. He would return next year given receiving all the money.

A very dumb person would do that. **** this “honor” ******** and start living in the real world. This is seriously one of the dumbest things I’ve seen posted here, and that’s saying something. He would return next year given receiving all the money.
I'm not suggesting that will happen I am just saying an honorable person would do that.
Jesus you are an *******. You don’t even know the kid and you decide to be an awful person.Well, in a real world, that would make perfect sense, however most are missing the key point here…

Y’all might want to learn contract language and how it works. You cannot, CANNOT, be this stupid.I agree. If I were coach, I would ask the doctor, does he have swelling yes or no. If No, he plays. If he doesn't play. He pays back what he owes.
The NBA sees someone who is looking out for the future, which is totally the right thing to do. God people have become so stupid. You have valid points but he didn't reinjury his knee. It's just possible complications from a typical ACL surgery. Nothing out of the ordinary. Given the swelling took place well over a month ago then he's playing it safe to safeguard any NBA draft chances. To suggest otherwise is foolish and I hope the NBA sees a quitter.
It’s ok Mr. Quaintance. Your boy will be gone soon enough. Nobody will remember him either. The NBA sees someone who is looking out for the future, which is totally the right thing to do. God people have become so stupid.
“Swelling” is manageable and to be expected. Swelling doesn’t mean the knee isn’t structurally sound or fit for play. Someone coming off of that surgery can have a good deal of swelling and have a completely fit to play knee.I agree. If I were coach, I would ask the doctor, does he have swelling yes or no. If No, he plays. If he doesn't play. He pays back what he owes.
Yep. And its possible its not“Swelling” is manageable and to be expected. Swelling doesn’t mean the knee isn’t structurally sound or fit for play. Someone coming off of that surgery can have a good deal of swelling and have a completely fit to play knee.
