So on our roster, WHO is eligible to return next season? I believe Clark, Hines, Dar, Godswill and Feltson. Anybody else?

I would think Godswill would be back. He put nothing on tape this year to market himself, and he remains a guy with some decent potential who we can likely keep for just a few scheckels.
His only downside would be he can't seem to stay healthy. But for the price, he seems to be the perfect third string center so I'd definitely take him back all things considered.

I'd say the same for Felton. We need a third string end of the bench versatile guard who knows Sha's way of doing things and for the price, he might fit that role perfectly.

Both seem like really good kids too.

I think Felton will try a mid major to get minutes and build his resume. I'm not sure he gets that opportunity here if we retain a few of our next tier players like Simpkins and Williams.

I think Felton Parker & Godswil are the easy choices.

I’m interested to see what Simpkins and Williams do. I wouldn’t be shocked if they at least enter the portal just to see what’s out there

I heard from a good source during the season that It's going to cost us 2.5 million dollars to keep Hines.

If that's true, we're going to have to pay it, if only to show that we are not going to be poached of our top players every year. With conditioning and another year at SHU, he will likely be on the draft board next year, anyway. So it's a one-time expense!

Of the six players mentioned {try to] keep Himes, Clark, Dar, and Williams. To get a legitimate shooter, Simkins is replaced. Parker will want more money and to be the #1 pg elsewhere, probably down a notch from BE. Himes of course is the gem, but it never appeared to me Shaheen loved him. Will Dar and Williams also want more $$$ to return? Probably a silly question.

Trey has shows some real aggresiveness. I like him in the rotation somewhere but not at pg. Again what will he cost and can we upgrade

The biggest worry I have is we make the offer of $2.5 and they shop it and get more. This era is completely nuts so I will believe what our roster is next year at our first game when the players walk on the court. Unfortunately you can't count on anything else today. The agents will keep coming with higher offers until then.

Outside of Hines and Clark, I would welcome the return of Dar, Parker, and Godswill, none of whom should command top-tier money. Williams and Simpkins had their moments, and certainly are good ballplayers, but we need better than 33% from 3.

With you but Simpkins is a keeper for me if reasonable. Williams is more one that I’m not losing sleep for various reasons.

I think if he wants $2 million, he might very well be here. I feel like he wants more, or at least will be offered more, and that makes me think he probably won't.

But let's see.

Since I don't trust so much of this stuff that's out there, I happen to think the only way he gets something approaching $2M-$3M is if the "market" increases again in the manner most of you all believe it will. That range is supposedly more than Zuby Edgefor this year with the "hometown" discount.

I’m higher on Simpkins over Williams. I think Twin has another level in him, and he seems to like coming off the bench. If you want to be a somewhat serious team, Williams cannot be a starter. Way more miss than hit… and although this will rub most wrong, Godswill is not a BE player. Unless basically free, go spend that money elsewhere. He belongs in the A-10. Stop with the occasional 4-5 mins player.

I agree. I thought Godswill had legit potential. But lack of playing time and an injury have set him back as far as the Big East goes.

I love your last sentence. I loathe this “everybody needs a rest” crap. Did anybody see what Siena did today?

I have to believe anyone giving Hines more than 2 million is going to demand he be in much better shape physically.

How did that work out for Siena down the stretch?
