I just wanted to say this was the least fun I have ever had following a kentucky team, by about 1 month into the season I was so drained. I don't think I have ever wanted a season to end so fast.
No what you mean. It has been hard on this old man.

People gave Joe B hell back in the day he was lucky it was before the net. That 78 season was a complete pressure cooker! Winning it was almost a relief.
I remember him being called Joe B stall and my dad and grandpa being happy he left.

Most of the fanbase looks for slight in the media or a reason to hate the current team at all times.

This particular team is a disappointment but you have to let the year end and see how we regroup.

Unbelievable pressure following a legend in Rupp. Rupp still had his coaching show after he retired and Hall took over!!

It was my least favorite Kentucky team of all time. I don’t care about the closed scrimmage ‘20 season before someone says it save it. Wasn’t even real. Tubbys late teams had guys like Crawford, Bradley, even Perry played hard and cared, was well coached. They played well they just lacked talent. No issues there. Even Gillispie had Meeks who was fun to watch and as you see, unlike Pope with Chandler, he let the team go through Jodie to a degree even if he bitched about it. Plus Patterson, Stevenson etc. they were all way better to watch.

This was a team of arrogant meme players. To me and I’ve been watching since 1992, this was the worse team of my life. Absolutely hard to watch, bad attitudes, “touch money” get blasted by 35, constantly losing 7 straight to Florida and Alabama. Team is bad. Millions of dollars will allow a tournament appearance. Lbs for lbs this team is the worst in my lifetime no questions asked and not close.

Hall followed Rupp, impossible. My father who’s 76? I think now loved Hall later and always said he was good but caught a lot of hell because he followed Rupp. I mean Hall was around Calipari levels. Should have won 2 titles but for cheating UCLA, probably more if not for that crap. actually won 2 titles counting the NIT when it meant something. 3 final fours. 10 years. That’s B+ even by the standard Rupp set imo.

I don’t hate on people like your family guys there though, they had the right expectations.

As far as ineptitude, the 2021 team is tops for me. This team is right behind them though. And with it being the most selfish team we've ever had, that probably makes it the worst to watch.

You know.........people said this during Cal's tenure as well. And BCG. And Tubby.

I'm beginning to think our fanbase is just forever not having fun here lol
Well yeah. Cals later years were trash, same as tubby, and same with bcg’s 2 years. You gotta win, and win a lot a Kentucky. This ain’t a secret.

Hall's work looks better as time goes on ... compared to what has come after him, only the peak Pitino and peak Cal years were better. Lot of mediocre or outright suck mixed in between those high points.

It’s what pisses me off about this whole thing. Kentucky is literally having low points by choice. If they don’t win to a high standard get them out. Kentucky has things no other program has. Tradition, massive fan base (top 5 in all of sports hands down), an entire state support with no professional college competition, and brand recognition that is unequal to just about anyone.

We are literally taming our own progress and choosing to be mediocre half the time. It’s as simple as hiring administrators and BOT’s that say we win and win big and that’s it. And it would happen to the highest degree immediately. The issue is, they’d rather not win like that and do other things and some of our own fans are gaslit and don’t realize how dominant Kentucky is even when it’s right in front of their face.

I finally get why you loved cal so much. His last few years he was excellent at getting the season over with early.
big difference tho, cals reg seasons were a blast, popes regular seasons can be reduced to "keep it within 10 before the half" lol

maybe i shoukd look forward to more basketball and enjoy it because next year looks ROUGH

This season would have been easier to tolerate if we had a good class on the way. But, we have no one and a large part of what we have staying leaves us wanting. No one coming and not much left in our talent pool, next year is likely a repeat imo.

With every good win we had, I did enjoyed it but it was quickly erased by a bad loss.
I give credit to Oweh mostly for his fight and sometimes other players would step up.
Bottom line is Pope failed to assemble a great team and so far cannot recruit.
We are not Kentucky, Duke is, and it makes me a very miserable fan. I like Pope as a person and his love for the program but he has failed so far.

Prepare to make room on the bandwagon for all the naysayers when the Cats go on a run. I'm all in on a second weekend and beating the Vols for a third time.

This season was a bigger let down than the COVID team simply for the fact that they don’t have an y ******* excuses and came in with a ton of hype. This was supposed to be Pope getting the pick of the litter, not picked out of the *******. They really feel like a squandering of so much time and effort on a bunch of levels.

We are not beating the Vols for a third time. The Vols have zero chance of getting by UVA. UVA would easily beat the Vols.

I hated Cals boring grind it out style of offense. Towards the end it was very painful to watch. Did he finally swallow his pride at Arky and let the assistant coaches take over because it is night and day.

I stopped watching multiple games by the half this year, never done that before. For those saying it wasn't that bad, show me another season where we were embarrassed on national TV as many times as we were this year.
