The last get together before the team breaks up after this weekend.

What would it take for it to be considered "a magical run" this year? Have to be a final 4 to me. Sorry, but that ain't happening this year.
Kentucky isn’t a private party for a select few to enjoy. No matter what Pope thinks, Kentucky is supposed to be for the fans but he doesn’t appear to get that. He’s never gotten Kentucky and he never will.
I feel exuberant and ebullient after hearing about this.

The sad thing about this, Mark believes what he is saying. Then these dudes go home and laugh at him. Gotta be. No way can they buy into the therapy session, the world is love, religious guru, crazy nut ****?

This has got to be great for recruiting 
I listened to it, most of it anyway, he did break down the assignments of the assistant coaches duties on scouting the potential teams in our region. He never actually said which one scouted which team but it was informative, that part anyways rather than hearing everything is "beautiful" 
Funny how this board was glazing his press conferences at the start of the year. Now that we’ve struggled everybody suddenly can’t stand him. Same people, same takes—just switching sides when it’s convenient.
Pope should be really familiar with Santa Clara. BYU was in the same conference for a while with them. Matt Jones was downplaying the SC game and I think that’s a mistake. You can’t overlook anyone in the tournament including when coaches are familiar with each other. I always worry about tournament games lol

So, beginning of the year no results yet, hyped for the new season. Then we see that his coaching abilities are bad, results are terrible, no changes, and we change our takes..and that's "convenient" to you. You truly don't see the logic of people souring on a coach after a bad season and no real adjustments?
Yeah, that's not what I'm saying. It's making fun of how he talks and his words. People are that up. Now they don't like it since we're not winning. His pressers were a breath of fresh air lol

How was Selection Sunday the ONLY time in the season they have been together by themselves? FFS he is so full of horse dung.
Listen I’m trying not to say this, and I’m actually glad they got together because I was starting to think maybe he couldn’t even get them huddled up, but Mark learns absolutely nothing. Stubborn doesn’t begin to describe it. This soft serve bs does not work. He just continues to think being the softest guy in the room is gonna come through.
Mark is a tremendous person, but I probably wouldn’t want my son playing for him. I think we’re seeing why he can’t recruit.
People keep saying he is a tremendous person. How so? Who on here really know that he is a tremendous person? Even if he is why is that relevant? We didn't hire a youth pastor we hired a coach and should have gotten a tremendous coach.

Nice guys in D1 basketball would have trouble recruiting, they’d get bullied by other coaches, players wouldn’t listen to them, they’d lack control, and the jobs would be too big. Mark can’t take his routine and go up against megalomaniac psychotic D1 guys and win. Example Golden and Oats.
youre right i do not know for sure, but he’s Mormon and many of them live to a high standard (i dont agree at all with it), and I don’t think he’s faking it. But Mark has rubbed some boosters the wrong way, not sure how widespread that is, and I’ve been told twice by two different people, one of which would not be wrong (neither would really), that he’s not as likable as you’d think once you get to know him. That he has a quirky personality and he a weirdness that can be off putting. Almost like a subtle duchy arrogance at times, or that’s how I took it. But I do think Mark is a good person beneath it all.

Golden points at him and makes fun of him. Someone posted a video of Golden actually doing this in the SEC Tournament game.
No wonder they aren’t fired up before games. He can’t motivate them.
It’s lie number 1,256 this year. He just cannot tell the truth. Opposite of straight shooter.
Many things to be upset about this season but this ain’t one of them
Honestly this seems like a really stupid thing to get upset over. Who cares? Happy they decided to do something together and hope it helps. You all are exhausting with your negativity.
