This is correct. Pope has said it a few times this year and last year that he does not condition them because he allows "analytics" to tell him when a player should rest based off their personal variables. There is no fatigue unless you are poorly conditioned which falls on pope if that’s the case. Most athletes are conditioned enough to play well into their 30’s much less 18-22 years of age. There is so much stoppage in play in today’s game fatigue should never be a factor for even a poorly conditioned player. Wake me up when this Pope experiment is over. It’s embarrassing really.
ANALytics belong right where the word starts off. This is correct. Pope has said it a few times this year and last year that he does not condition them because he allows "analytics" to tell him when a player should rest based off their personal variables.
This is dumb. This is why we are tired.
Our legs went out yesterday against Florida, which renders so many short shots by Oweh and others.
Again, this is Pope's fault for having his basketball philosophy having too much weight in analytics.
Exactly. Now third game in three days, that is going to factor a bit. Shots start coming up a bit short, getting back a bit slower, etc. But yeah, Pope has been using that all year as a crutch.Yeah, fatigue is a lame excuse especially since most player play less than 30 minutes per game.
Analytics have their place. They're good for long term predictions and trends. They have much less effectiveness in the short term imo.ANALytics belong right where the word starts off.
Amen to that. Why I find Pope puzzling for saying he makes halftime adjustments based on analytics. I still have no idea what he means by that — it’s nonsense.Analytics have their place. They're good for long term predictions and trends. They have much less effectiveness in the short term imo.
